You start your game like normal, and open the pause menu to save the game.
I will say, "Would you like to save your game?" If you press the Guide button when it says that instead of clicking CANCEL, it will glitch and you cannot exit/save the world.
I'm not sure if autosave still works, but if you sign out, the effects of not doing anything will still persist.
Autosave does indeed work and is a viable temporary work around for this issue.

Only reason I stopped using the autosave was when I wanted to pour lava all over my map (just for the fun), and I set the interval for very short so I turned it off, because I'll never use it again.
I can confirm this.
Actually what it is all mobs makes two sounds in quick succession, in which is very very annouying for animal farms and when you think there is 50 zombies in a dungeon when there is only 25
Well for me it makes sounds twice (1 sound and the other) it can be very confusing at times.
EDIT: This can also happen with blocks as well. But not always, though.
•When logging out of a world, all animals will despawn.
I started up a survival world and created some animal pens (Sheep, Cow, Pig, Chicken) I logged out of the world. When I logged back in, every animal was gone. This has happened multiple times.
•Wolves can attack sheep through fence gates, not through fences (not sure if glitch)
I've had instances of diamond completely disappearing after I mine it in one of my survival worlds. It's not in my inventory and I make sure it doesn't fall in lava. It just... Disappears. This is only happening in a survival world I creates post T.E.
After latest update a random selection of saved worlds becomes corrupted in some bizzare way. Whenever we load these, we find ourselves in a ocean, underwater, near mushroom island. My 8yr old son cried a lot about this, he spent a lot of time building in one of affected world. Saves are on the local storage, survival game, all seeds are random, tried to deinstall update (made a copy of savegame on external storage before that) - same thing. If someone can help - I'll be very grateful.
People are having problem joining my Hogwarts map. I've has 2 people now try to join and it just freezes their xbox completely.
I'm getting something a little different. Ever since 09/04/2014 one of my maps was affected by a bug (I searched around to forum to check with other people, they had the same problem) where you cannot load your map! After selecting the map for it to load, the screen still is rotating, the logo and the loading bar didn't show up, and no controls respond! I've kept that map since I don't want to lose it, because it's affected by the save and exit bug. If I only checked this forum before.
Anyone wanting to know how all that looks like now? I have the full story here: http://imgur.com/a/FQi8w#0
I even asked for some help after it, but I still got no response.
Animals despawn or escape from the pens whenever i spawn into the game no matter how big the pen is, what walls or fences i use or whether the pen has double fences/walls it still happens everytime.
Signs are blurry and bold black from far away.
Game has been lagging terribly for everyone in multiplayer and locking up.
Experiencing block lag in dark caves and underwater when mining/placing blocks. Block reappears when mining and disappears when placing.

Hmm...that has never happened to me, before. But i get long loading times when the game loads a world, even if its superflat!

I have noticed when placing water source blocks that for some reason it creates new sources in random places in the general area. I placed a water source on a bookshelf in my stronghold library to wash away cob webs and it made a 2x2 non infinite water source in the middle of the library. The four water sources would not go away unless i put blocks on them. They would not get picked up in a bucket. I noticed this a few times now When placing water from a bucket.

This has been happening in one of my Mobs on Demand spawners since TU15. Each pad has one water block held up by a single piston. Trigger the piston to release and the water flows forcing all of the mobs off of their spawning pads and into the drop shoot. Occasionally the water will glitch and a source block will be created somewhere within the spawner causing the whole thing to malfunction until I go in and manually clear it.
Lock up in multiplayer has been happening a LOT since TU17. As host, you'll notice the game beginning to glitch and lag severely before it locks up. I recommend that if you notice the lag: save and exit the game. Reboot and reload. you should be good for another few hours until you have to do it again.
EDIT: I'd also like to add - there is suddenly an issue with mob tracking (through glass). The spawner mentioned above is set up as a record farm. Zombies are attracted to a villager behind a wall and end up dying in a trap. Skeles and Creeps should track the player and walk into a different water trap. Only problem is, as of TU17 mobs aren't tracking me through the glass blocks anymore. They fall down the shoot into the sorting room and then just stand there regardless of my position and location. They make no attempt to follow or find me (they don't even pay attention to me/look) unless I remove one of the blocks to create a line of site.
Not sure if this belongs here, if not please help redirect ...
Haven't played in a few weeks. Another member of household (non XBLA) logged in to play from game disc, as we always do. Seeds for *all* of the saved worlds showed up as '0' and customized/added content is gone. Usual chatter on game load looked like text from an older update.
Switched to my XBLA account, downloaded an 88MB update and was able to open my one world with no issues.
Switched back to non-XBLA account. Recognized update, but description didn't look like anything new.
This one is weird, hard to replicate, and has no effect outside of being purely visual.
I have one world in which I detonate...well, everything. After quite a lot of explosions, pseudo-holes have begun appearing near the spawn. These have no defined shape--some look kind of like ravines that extend beyond render distance, others like mini caves--and everything in them has level 0 lighting. Upon receiving a block update, some of the area (or at least what I can see) loads properly and looks like the wall that it actually is.
Nothing game-breaking or even commonly seen, but it's still something.
Split-screen multiplayer mode is now broken. It behaves as if I'm trying to play online XBLive Gold multiplayer and tells me I don't have permission to play online games because I don't have XBLive Gold. I have XBLive Silver, but that shouldn't matter at all for split-screen multiplayer mode, as split-screen multiplayer mode shouldn't even require an internet connection (just like 1 player mode). And when it doesn't show that error message, it shows only my account (player-1's account) in the account selection list (when player-2 presses Start button to join the game), which means that the second player has no way of selecting an account to join.
Mojang, for the love of all that is good, PLEASE FIX THIS.
When a zombie is breaking a door and you kill the zombie the same time it is breaking the door, the door will stay "cracked" or "mined" Until you reload the world, and the door will be normal again.
Would it be possible to choose how often the game autosaves? It saves far too often, so if something world-breaking were to happen, you may only have mere seconds to reset the world.

Any ideas as to what is going on here?

Update:
It appears that the bug has a fix that can be used to get it back to being able to play split-screen multiplayer again. Read http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/minecraft-xbox-360-edition-help/2236825-major-error-message-multiplayer-not-allowed?comment=6. However there is still the question of WHAT CAUSED THIS. I don't know, and I'm guessing it's a bug of some kind. Hopefully this bug will be figured out and eliminated in future updates, so that future updates don't just set the saves all back to online games again.
