I decided to create a separate post for INVedit 2.0.1 Here rather than leaving it, on this post .http://www.minecraft...entory-editors/ Since most may only read the first few post and decide find that the INVedit does not work wit the newer version of mine craft. Infact the code as been updated. I used it on both 1.7.5 and 1.7.9 version of Minecraft. I quote my self from a previous post below so as not to retype the same info.
Let me know how it works for you.
I discoverd the scource code for INVedit on Github. It appears that the code has been fixed to work with the newer version of Minecraft. I compiled the code again is VC sharp. I have been able to used it with the newer version of minecraft. I tested on 1.7.5 and 1.7.9 and it worked fine.
I have combine the media and text file that Sky_Ninja99 has already complete. (downloaded from his dropbox link) We will have a INVedit that will have the new items for minecraft version 1.7+.
Here is the version I recompiled from Github down load here
It appears to work on 2 of my computers. let my know how it works for you.
Credits go to copyboy formost, sky_Ninja99, guys on Github that have been updating some of the source.
and me for combining the updating source code with Media text file from Sky_Ninja99. (Glad I did not have to do it ) but I played very very small part.
Code seems to be legit, did not check any additional files acquired during updating though.
Copyboy Made his code available as open source. I found it when I was trying to get INVedit to work with the newer version of Minecraft. Other people have tried making it work, but still had errors. When I found it on Github I notice that they fixed the issue. I was very surprised that no one else has made it available. Sky_Ninja99 work on the project and added a lot of the new items in minecraft by editing the text file, and created some of the new Icons (I'm Guessing of course) . But it still did not work. I just combine the work of sky_Ninja99 and and compiled the code that was Github. It' worked!!

I should be clear. I like the promotion, the paycheck and parking spot. But I don't really want to be in charge here.

I just check it July 14 2014 and it worked. It could be that the server was down.

This has been a thread-hopping adventure. You should probably contact a moderator and see if you can get the link to this thread put into the first post of the old INVEdit thread.
I added the missing end blocks. I added the Elytra item. I added the new enchants.
Its not TRUE 1.9. But at least it contains many of the common items you may want. Some things may/may not work as before. I tried spawn eggs. Don't work. Common stuff like cobble, redstone, diamonds, etc. DO. You can add armor, tools, etc and enchant them.
I believe they changed some internal structures of the NBT tree in 1.9 that this obviously isn't going to work with properly. I am running into issues with mcedit and chests as well so thats what is leading me to think something internal changed in the way NBT tags are handled. I don't think I have the complete mapping done on the new enchants. This will at least get yall started with some of the basic stuff.
I have tested this with 1.9.4 vanilla with saves created under 1.7, 1.8 and new saves created under 1.9.4.

Tested it on 1.11. As of the date of this post, version currently available still seems to function as it did when Wolfiesden posted. Spawn Eggs still do not work, which is still sad.
Is it possible to find out what the NBT structure changes were so that INVEdit can be updated to be made fully compatible?

Any idea what I need to do to fix this?
Hi to All
I tried to update INVEdit to 1.8.7 (compiled vs2013), requires .NET.Framework.4.0
mirrors links to download

unfortunally i don't have time to full test it, if you will find some bugs - email me to [email protected]
@MneINoY,
Just tried to load a player file from 1.8.8:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fx8gs0tccw6yafx/Screenshot 2015-10-03 12.09.42.png?dl=0
Found it. I think the previous invedit had corrupted the save. I pulled it from a back up and it opens.
However, you are missing the horse items in items.txt:
And further down:
If you don't want a 3rd column then add the horse things to items:
does this work for 1.9?
Edit: Nope
Any chance there will be an update for 1.9?
This is NOT a re-compile. But here..
