I've been scanning the trailer for Episode 7 up and down, and I've come across a detail I haven't seen any videos on yet. When Jesse puts on the VR hat-like thing in the trailer, the next thing that is shown appears to me, as though Jesse is controlling monsters wirelessly, and the hat is giving him info on what the monsters are seeing and hearing and allowing him to switch monsters on the fly(look for the "Migrate" command popping up, and the focus shifting from a skeleton to a zombie, also noting that the zombie's eyes are light blue after the switch, whereas PAMA's thralls' eyes are red and normal zombies' are black.) If this is the case, it means that the ability to control monsters was likely a part of this world's technology long before PAMA was built and began to use it to take over. Interesting lore for a world, no doubt, but my real concern is "OH MY WORD, can we please get this added to a mod that isn't built in MCreator?!?" Because, let's face it, this would be a perfect addition to something like OpenComputers, so that you could code programs to control monsters using similar brain implants to what are seen in the trailer, and see their perspective from a GUI perhaps. Heck, a lot of tech mods could benefit from this, seeing as the closest thing we've ever had has been Intangible, which despite playing like a tech mod feels more like a "dark magic" mod, and besides that doesn't even let you control monsters' attacks. Sorry for the rushed nature of this post, there is a thunderstorm coming and I don't want to be still typing if and when the power goes out.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
