Like, who actually, legitimately cares? Is the story devalued? I don't even played this game, but I've just watched a video of the initial meeting of the guest YouTuber characters in the new episode, and it doesn't really feel forced. It's just a nod to the players. Need I remind you that most of the players of this game are younger kids anyway? This game isn't difficult and it obviously isn't aimed at the older portion of the Minecraft playerbase. They also seem to have chosen pretty harmless YouTubers, there's none of the rampant users of foul language that kids shouldn't be watching which the Minecraft YouTube community is full of. The only argument I've seen against this so far is "crriiiiiiinge". And honestly, that's what you're getting this whole game anyway, that's what you get for being above its target demographic.
So go on, if you dislike the fact YouTubers are in this game, discuss.

I don't know why people can't get it in their brain that this game is obviously aimed at a younger demographic.
I know, right?
"It's too easy!" Because it's aimed at kids.
"There isn't enough seriousness!" Because it's aimed at kids.
"The plot is too simple!" Because it's aimed at kids!
"There's no mature content!" BECAUSE IT'S AIMED AT KIDS!

I didn't mind the inclusion of YouTubers at all. Like Gamelord said, their introduction didn't seem forced (and Jesse can lampshade their unusual usernames by asking, "Are those your real names?") They didn't ruin the "Minecraft is real life for these characters" feeling that MCSM has. And I appreciate that Telltale chose to include the Youtubers they did, instead of more questionable ones. The inclusion of Youtubers in Ep. 6, if anything, was a nod at the community.
And I thought Ep 6 was fantastic. I think Telltale improves with every new episode of MCSM. "A Portal to Mystery" had a great plot (that reminded me of Agatha Cristie's And Then There Were None) which kept me guessing until the end, surprised me plenty of times, and even had my heart pumping during the tense moments. Also, Stampy is hilarious in that episode. "Panicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanic!"
Anyway, that's just my two cents on this matter. Ep 6 is now tied with Ep 5 as my favorite.

Insulting people for their beliefs is not a good way of convincing them to adopt yours.
Fiction is just a game of make-believe recorded on paper or film. But that's what makes it so great.
Hipster Jesus liked you before you were cool.
