I am trying to convert an old java ressourcepack (which use to add custom music with the help of a "sound.json" file) to work on the win 10 edition
( if this is the wrong section of the forum to talk about win 10 minecraft, i'm sorry, this looks like the right place to me, but just in case i'm wrong...)
i have read that in bedrock(win10) the file doing this job is "sound_definitions.json" and so i took the one from the default pack and used the code for one of the noteblocks then copy/pasted it a bunch of times and changed the name. but it did not work, my ingame commands are still unable to play my ambiance music.
So far this is what i have:
custom audio files are .ogg, they are on the following path: "[ressource pack name]\sounds\note"
my custom "sound_definitions.json" is in "[ressource pack name]\sounds"
I have seen that their is still a "sound.json" in the root folder of the ressourcepack used for what event can call what sounds, but since i plan to only use command block to start them i don't need to map them to an event (or so i beleive, i am maybe wrong)
Any help is welcome, quick note: I CAN'T CODE, i am a total n00b for programming and stuff so please show and explain simply with simple terms `>.>
Hello!,
I am trying to convert an old java ressourcepack (which use to add custom music with the help of a "sound.json" file) to work on the win 10 edition
So far this is what i have:
custom audio files are .ogg, they are on the following path: "[ressource pack name]\sounds\note"
my custom "sound_definitions.json" is in "[ressource pack name]\sounds"
what's inside that json looks like this:
{
"note.action1": {
"category": "record",
"sounds": [
{
"name": "sounds/note/action1",
"load_on_low_memory": true
}
]
},
"note.action2": {
"category": "record",
"sounds": [
{
"name": "sounds/note/action2",
"load_on_low_memory": true
}
]
},
//repeate for all sounds//
}
Thank you!
