If in some moment i offended you, please apologize me.
Can you please add some mechanism which allows to just place their updated apk and rest work is done by script as it was done(smartly) in the file provided by you.
It is because the version which you provided is bit old as of now.
I'm not a professional with Linux distros, but I've been having to use the terminal quite a bit. So not really a problem except it completely seems to do nothing when I run the .sh file. I've gotten used to playing around with the different version numbers as not everyone can get the most up-to-date versions. Microsoft being the owning co. but their phone only running up to 0.16.2. So with the game running at 1.0.9 I'm happy. Would just like to see some kind of progress with the install.
Sorry if I detracted from my main point. I'd like to know if the install process actually shows progress?
You failed to mention that this version is exclusively for Ubuntu derivatives. Also it has to be manually updated for each version of mcpe. I had no idea that a project like this existed. I actually thought to do the exact same thing. My version currently calls for getting the dependencies from my wiki, but I plan on adding an automated method for each family of distros in the near future. If you're at all interested, our projects are very similar in operation and goals, and I would love to have more contributors. You can find it here. I provide an apk hosted on my site, but this is mainly a temporary fix for the currently broken Google-Play-API made by MCMrARM.
My project is also available for Arch Linux-based distros in the AUR, as
mcpelauncher-linux
I mainly use the issues page to communicate my goals, and with anyone seeking to contribute, but you can also message me on Telegram or Kik.
great sharing, but are we breaking the law? it's free and pocket edition is paid. i saw an incident like this where they post cracked version of game in apknite and get sued for the copyright issue
Setup:
1. Unpack the archive to a place for the game.
2. Open Terminal and run setup.sh file.
3. Open the game with mclinux file or from Applications menu.
Version of the game: 1.0.0.16
Build number of Linux Edition: 3rd
Very big thanks for McMrARM for the MCPE launcher for Linux, I just simplify the installing. Original source: https://github.com/McMrARM/mcpelauncher-linux

Early, when coding Java you using $ with variables, -> and instead of ., on PHP you using . instead of -> or and not point $ before variables.
Amazing! I guess, but isn't that illegal?
Also, does this mean we might be able to run other Android apps on Linux in the future?
Sorry if the latter question is offtopic.

MrGenga Can U Update The MC Version To 1.0.9?
good thing I did not go through with installing at the (Y/n/q/?) options, as this would have wiped out my entire system (Mint 18.1)
Not cool. (unless I did something wrong)
