IMO, i don't meant to be selfish, but I think minecraft PE needs to move away from lower end devices, that's what is kind of holding it back, since they have to make it for the old dinosaurs that came out 5 years ago (i really don't mean to offend anyone or to start an argument)
I totally agree... Maybe they'll drop support for old devices in 0.9.0... That would be sort off fair since they will still have new terrain and mobs and whatnot. . .
What I really wanna know is when will we have smooth multiplayer lol. And if we do get skins what kind will it be. I'm hoping for our own so bad. Sorry for typos I was playing lbsg while doing this post.
Despite all the optimisations, it's hard to have smooth multiplayer with a game that is in live interactive 3D with a lot of players. If you're talking about local though, it should be smooth already. I once played with my bro (me on iPod 4, him on iPhone 5) and I was surprised on how everything was completely in sync. Every time he hit a mob, jumped and even moved his head even slightly, it was all real-time. And this was back in 0.7.2, so it should be even better now.
As for skins, last time the developers talked about it, they didn't even know how it would work, so we'll just have to wait for that news.

At Minecon 2013, they said that it will be quite some time before they drop support for devices, since 'there are no must-have features' that they would be putting in. They even said on a livestream that infinite worlds should work for all devices. So just wait a decade before that happens Nah, I think they'll be dropping support for iOS 5 in like 3 years.

In servers you have a really bad experience but in Realms everything works fine, the only bug is that you always have infinite bonemeal, and that might not be a bug, you know, tall grass everywhere...

Not so sure,if you've ever played Survivalcraft you know what I mean, SC has tons of mobs, caves, infinite worlds, wheater... and works in many low end devices, so PE could change somethings. Android make some software improvements and iOS stop locking everything

well if they remove compatibility with my xperia play or any other device, i will play pc version instead because
1 i already have a pc
2 i will not waste my money in another phone, i hate touch controls, mcpe seriously needs keyboard or controler support, thats why i bought my xperia play (and because emulators and ps1 games)
I'm talking about the fact that in the future (about 3-5 years) they will inevitably drop support for the really ancient devices, as SoCs with similar capabilities to the K1 become what is considered low end. What we consider to be low end right now will not be used that much in that time.
If they would still limit MCPE in 5 years time for the one person who uses an iPhone 3Gs or Xperia Play, while everyone else is using superphonessuperphones, that would be ridiculous.
I'm not saying theyll start developing for super high end chips now in the snese that it would inevitably become low end.
well maybe in 5 years would be rasonable to drop support for old phones, maybe 3, but at least they should suport controlers, thats why xperia play users still have their phones

Phones are made to be used around 2 years and we really can't know what will happen tomorrow so it's kinda pointless to talk about what will we do with our actual phones or future phones, maybe Mojang optimize the whole code and we'd play the PC game on a watch, Idk...
I like villagers 'cause it's nice to travel in the whole map and find the villages, temples, mineshafts... that gives a goal to exploring and I think that some villagers have very unfair tradings too, in fact I use to kill all these guys if someone wants 4 chikens for a bread he deserves to be killed! however I bet that we'd be able to customize the trading with mods and that will change completely the adventure maps!

You're right, a keyboard isn't the most confortable way to play MC and we'd need a mouse too... a phone is easy to grab and just move a pair of fingers, but what about 7" or bigger devices?

i generally get average trades, then theres those " 1 emerald for 5 gravel" trades then again sometimes i once got a diamond sword and another time 5 ender eyes
Guess what? Johan said they plan on adding hunger and sprinting in 0.9.0, Now I'm excited! Hunger, sprinting, and skins have been the 3 main things I've always wanted in PE, and they're coming in 0.9, He also said we might be getting boats, and a superflat world option. Redstone will come in 1.0.0
