Addon (a native mod, app installed on your phone/tablet):
- ModPE version: approx. 100% - finally released v1.0!!!
- Addon version: approx. 40% - managed to hook into the render function
Special Thanks: Special thanks for Mineshopper's permission for me to port this mod. All credits for the pc Carpenter's Blocks mod go to Mineshopper - the pc mod creator. Carpenter's Blocks PC official webpage is there: http://www.carpentersblocks.com/
I said that I've just started work on a preview. I'm 30% done (and only on a preview of the modpe script version). Making the final version will take a really long time (though it's really hard and I'm learning them).
Today, work on custom shaped blocks has been finished. Posting some screenshots & starting work on other textures for shapable blocks (actually, they can only have planks textures). Also, I will add the Carpenter's Chest, which can be covered with any block, and, when pointed, the cover block will disappear & the chest will appear there (it will only work if the player who points it will be the player who placed the chest) and will be available to be opened or broken.
How did you render the blocks??? Thats amazing, I want to know it too!!!
I found a 'trick' to do it. Though the BlockRenderer API has been disabled since 0.9.0, there is (officially) no way to do it. Sorry, but I would want to keep it just for me (though it took me a month before I found a way to do it). It is also buggy, and it's not perfect. A better way to render blocks is using addons (mods written in c++, android native apps). I will probably re-write the whole code to an addon in future (when the last version of Carpenter's Blocks modscript is out & when I learn enough addon - making skills).
