Hello there supercatgaming! I am planning on making an texture pack for an adventure map and i would like to add music to the texture pack coukd you please tell me how to put my preffered music in the texture pack it self?
To add custom music, you would go into the texture pack's assets folder. Then go to the sounds folder and open that. Create a music folder, no capitals, exactly as written (which goes for every step past this.) In the music folder, you would want to create 2 other folders, one called game and the other called menu. The menu folder most likely won't be needed in your case, unless you want music at the main menu. In which case:
you would want to put the music there, and rename them to menu1.ogg; menu2.ogg; menu3.ogg; or menu4.ogg. Be careful changing file extensions though. It might make the file unusable. (a file extension is what comes after the "." so in this case ogg.
Otherwise, in the game folder, add two other folders called creative and nether. You might not need those either, but in case you do:
Creative (plays only in creative mode):
Rename the music to these names: creative1.ogg; creative2.ogg; creative3.ogg; creative4.ogg; creative5.ogg; orcreative6.ogg
Nether (only plays in the nether):
Rename the music to these names: nether1.ogg; nether2.ogg; nether3.ogg; ornether4.ogg
Otherwise, the main survival music (which is presumably what you need) goes in the game folder directly. You would need to call them the following: calm1.ogg; calm2.ogg; calm3.ogg; hal1.ogg; hal2.ogg; hal3.ogg; hal4.ogg; nuance1.ogg; nuance2.ogg; piano1.ogg; piano2.ogg; or piano3.ogg. All of the music will play at random.

Currently updating. Link will be offline for a couple minutes.
I am making the file size smaller.
After it is updated, can someone tell me if it works; I can't test it right now.

All Finished! All Packs are updated with lower file size.
If you could, please test them and let me know if they work here or on the alpha sounds forum.
Thanks,

Due to the new 1.0.0 update having the music already installed, this thread will be for users who can't or don't want to update.
