Also something i would like to ask, does the program only pick up certain survival saves? Becuase i have about 3-4 survival saves and it only shows 2 of them. Could this have something to do with the player.dat or some other variable like when the world was created?
It's currently set up to ignore any world with a player.dat in the folder. I'm removing this restriction now.
Server, what are your planned updates might I ask?
Back up level.dat before saving, a Browse button to show a list of valid item IDs, icons in the inventory slot list, and an app icon. That's what I need to do before releasing version 1.0 for real. For the next version, I'll add support for changing time, moving the spawn point and changing the player's health and location. (These are read and saved, but there's no interface created yet to change them.)
Did you:
- download the latest version? Editing was disabled in the last version; uninstall the existing copy and redownload, then try again.
- give the app permission to write external storage?
- input an invalid value? (Then it should stop you from back out of editing and pop up a warning, but...)
Better still: I uploaded an update that adds a Browse button right in the interface! Click Browse to show a list of valid IDs, click on one of them to insert.
I tried to make an icon. I used the drawable-xhdpi from minecraft itself and the other ones are just resized... I am too lasy to do that... Hope you like it!
Thanks for the Awesome Application you've made. Now I can have all the Unobtainabale Blocks in Minecraft Pocket Edition. However,I wish that you can improve it by making the Option available for Creative.
I've put together a list of items in your app that do not exist in PE (yet). You might want to remove these, since adding them to inventory can lead to either, 1: an empty hand, 2: a glitched item that doesn't work, or 3: the item slot getting removed from inventory all together, shorting the player by 1 slot.
- Air
- Saplings
- Slabs (other than basic stone)
- Arrow
- Coal/Charcoal
- Iron/Gold Ingots
- Stick
- Bowl
- String
- Feather
- Gunpowder
- Wheat
- Snowball (Useless item, but it works. Thanks _ChrisMCMine_)
- Leather
- Brick (item, not block)
- Paper
- Book (Useless item, but it works. Thanks _ChrisMCMine_)
- Slime Ball
- Compass
- Clock
- Glowstone Dust
- Bone
- Sugar
Bold items are ones I have personally tested and can confirm do not work. The rest are educated guesses based on the game's behavior. If anyone else cares to test the other items, then by all means, please do. This is the kind of case where I love being proved wrong.
Also, with doors, it would be a good idea to rename 64 & 71 to half-doors, since that's what they produce. 324 & 330 are the full doors, but you have both types listed with the same names.
Keep up the fantastic work with this app! You've saved me precious minutes of hex-editing.
hey 500 internal server error:
what do you think about the icon i made?
[i]<image snip>[/b]
hey and if somebody has some time it would be nice if someone can erase the black pixels. i have done this on my phone so i can't do it better. the black pixels look awful
I've fixed your icon, resizing it to drawable-xhdpi size (96x96) and removing the black trash-pixels. And as a bonus, the Minecraft logo is no longer blurry.
The bad news is that "Get it all" doesn't show well on light backgrounds. Looks fine over dark ones though. If you'd like to re-make it without the "get it all" text, I'd be happy to reformat it like this one again.

Not possible (I think), as there are no editable inventory slots in Creative level.dats. I'll throw in an "Add slot" method, though, just to test if forcing a slot to be written into a Creative level.dat would do something.

O
Wow, you huys are awesome! Shanks! I think I'll use one of these icons for the next beta release.

Fixed. Please uninstall and redownload the new version, and try again.

Thanks! That would be really helpful in designing the UI.
Item name followed by the ID, as shown in the screenshot that I just posted.
I promise that I will start work on the iPhone OS version once the Android version is released.
Thanks! I've tried making an icon, but yours is better.

Thanks for the heads-up, I've edited the list.

Done.
I chose the basic one, because too much text doesn't work well in icons, and the shamrock hat seemed a bit random.
But anyway, here they are, in all sizes:
drawable-hdpi
drawable-mdpi
drawable-ldpi
I like to include the extra existing items even though they do nothing. The compass was in the game, and did nothing. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1034912-a-list-of-variables-from-tile-and-item-classes-any-hidden-items/page__view__findpost__p__12886737
I'll rename the doors to Door (Item) and Door (Block).
Looks promising. Thanks!
