Windows 10 Came out today and Guess what. So Did Minecraft For Windows 10. And The goal for The new Minecraft Version Is Cross Platform Play. That means All Worlds should be compatible right?
Yes!
To Use your Minecraft IOS or Android Saves you need access to them. I use Android so IOS Users, Sorry but you will need to find a way to get the save file from your phone to your PC.
-For Android Just plug your phone/tablet into your computer and open the device the computer.
-Find a folder named "games" and open it.
-Inside there is a folder "com.mojang"
-Inside that folder there is another folder called "minecraftWorlds"
-Inside that folder should be all your Minecraft PE Saves, Find the one you want to use and copy it.
Now the fun part
-hold down the windows key + the R key to open up a window
-In the box type "AppData" excluding the Quotation marks.
-open folder "local"
-open "packages"
Now the folder isn't .minecraft. Its a random collection of letters and numbers but it does have the word minecraft in it so if you cant find it just type minecraft in the search bar. It should say something like "Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe"
-Next find and open the folders in order:
-LocalState
-games
-com.mojang
-minecraftWorlds
There you should find where your Win10 Worlds are.
-Paste the world you copied from your Phone/Tablet, into the "minecraftWorlds" folder on your computer
There you go. now you just open minecraft on your Win10 PC and your world should appear there.
Post any problems you have below and I will do my best to elaborate because it is a pretty simple process once you get it.
