You can achieve a super far view distance without having any mods or jailbreak by using a device file browser (such as iExplorer or iFunBox) to change the options.txt. The file is located in "Documents/games/com.mojang/minecraftpe", and you simply change "gfx_renderdistance:" to 0. This will cause the game to render the whole map, so if you're on a slower device I recommend just leaving it at 2.
As for Android, I'm not sure if it requires root, and I don't know where the file is located. Props to the discoverer. I probably wouldn't have tried 0
Works on andriod too just old down on options and do file editor For android it actually doest make you see farther instrad it makes you see far as pc would
Once again, np guys. Also, I figured out the numbers and their settings:
less than 0 = nothing but void. can walk, but can't interact with world
0 = infinite
1 = far
2 = normal
3 = short
4 = super short, white flog
more than 4 = super short, black fog. Gets shorter with every level
