Pistons are not placing correctly - Standing 2/3 blocks away (Depending on the direction) from the piston will allow the piston to be placed correctly.
Players fall through the ground while riding a boat on land
Items can't be quick moved while riding a horse - This also happens on PC but should be a quick fix.
Trust Player options need to updated to include Leads/Horses
Minecarts falls through blocks when being pushed up by Pistons
Lapis Lazuli texture is incorrect (Changed in 1.6.1)

Still crashing/freezing requiring console hard reboot when exiting world to change difficulty to peaceful (or easy/hard) and re-loading world to have it lock up seconds after finished loading. Aparently it has to do with texture packs. Im using City Texture Pack.

What steps are you doing to cause this?
The original steps I have no longer cause this to happen.
Load a world with Fantasy pack
Exit without save
Change difficulty
Reload the save with the Fantasy Pack

im still crashing hard here are the steps that is it happening
start world with natural texture back
apon loading immediately run or move in any direction
game crashes and requires a complete console turn off to fix
i also had this issue in creative ownly diff is that you fly not run.
if you cant reproduce this trust me it is in fact happening happened twice in a tow today and sever times yesterday but ownly after the 1.3 update
The problem though is we need to reproduce it in order to track down the cause.

i killed a skeliton 50+ blocks in the air for the trophie but it didnt work tyed to twice and the error before was after the new update that just happened.
btw thank you guys for working so hard to get the errors fixed
its annoying but its intended it happnes on pc all the time and it gives you more durability depending on the level such as i had a pickax with durability one and it broke and came back and gave me 6 mor uses then 4 then 2 then disapeared for good
The problem though is we need to reproduce it in order to track down the cause.
Here is what is happening to me.
1. Playing Minecraft. For whatever reason, I decide to quit the game for a sec. This could be to change texture packs, or change difficulty, or whatever.
2. It doesn't matter if you Save and Exit or just Exit. If you go back into the game for any reason without first quitting Minecraft (as in going back to the Playstation Dashboard or XMB or whatever you call it) the game will crash, requiring you to to a hard reset on the system.
If you quit the Minecraft game altogether and go back to the Playstation XMB then reload your game, it will not crash. I found this out due to the following reason.
I had full diamond armor. A creeper blew up and knocked me into lava. Rather than losing all my stuff, I just exited without saving, then reloaded my last save. After doing this, I took two steps and it locked up the game. I needed to do a hard reset on the system.
Later on. A similar thing happened. I exited without saving. Loaded my last save up and it crashed.
A few hours later, I had a similar thing happen with another creeper. Remembering what happened earlier, I exited without saving. Then instead of reloading my save immediately, I exited Minecraft and went back to the Playstation Dashboard. Then I reloaded Minecraft, and loaded my last save. It didn't crash this time. I hope this helps paint a better picture of what is happening.
i have a xp grinder and im ownly seeing the same loot on the zombie just gold and leather and chain, mostly gold. i have not seen any tools or iron anything as of late and i killled at least 200 hundred zombies
The original steps I have no longer cause this to happen.
Load a world with Fantasy pack
Exit without save
Change difficulty
Reload the save with the Fantasy Pack
See EvilGeniusPrime's comment. They sum it up the way it's pretty much happening to me.
It also does it if you save the game, exit game, change difficulty, and reload save.
If I want to change to peaceful mode without crashing, I have to save game, exit game, shut down Minecraft to the Sony XMB, then restart Minecraft and load saved game. If I don't shut down Minecraft and just load the save after changing difficulty the game will crash/freeze seconds after it finishes loading.
I'm using City Texture Pack btw. I save then exit, not exit and save. (I do this because it would usually crash when I used "Exit and Save" in the past. and corrupt my saved world, and I don't want to lose my work again.)

I've seen the crash occur but so far it's not been very consistent in terms of the steps to reproduce it.

I'm having similar results while trying out different seeds. I load up a new seed; browse around and exit without saving. When I try to generate another new seed, it freezes at the first screen, "Initializing Server". If I use EvilGeniusPrime's method of exiting to the XMB first, I don't experience the lock-up.
edit: attached screenshot
Another quirk; It seem that if I delete the game save I just exited from BEFORE creating a new one, it does not lock up as before (like something is left open in the previous file).

i get it at least 4-5 times a day, how many times does it occcur to to guys out there?

Just happened to me, Natural Texture. At this point, I think I have to take this up with Sony. A hard lock can't be good. Cert testing needs to be tightened.
it isnt after too many hard locks my system has to do a recover thing thats the same reason why i dont play fallout games that much hard locks are pretty mush 25-30 times a day with fallout games lol D:

Heh... >:)
Step 1. Turn on PS3 Slim.
Step 2. Load up Minecraft.
Step 3. Load up last saved "Survival" game using "City Texture Pack" in Easy Difficulty in Online mode.
Step 4. Enjoy playing Minecraft for about an hour or so.
Step 5. Let Hostile Mobs annoy you enough to make you decide you want to change the difficulty mode to Peacefull. (Would be nice if you could do this while In-Game - Future addition maybe?)
Step 6. Press the 'Start' button, select Save game. (Because Auto Save is turned off for me)
Step 7. Then Select Exit Game Without Save.
Step 8. Re-open Saved game but change difficulty to Peaceful, keeping all other setting the same including Texture Pack and load it back up.
Step 9. Wait for the world to load back up and watch it lockup/freeze just seconds after it loads up or after you take 2 steps.
Step 10. Press the power button on the PS3 Console because the system is locked up.
I hope these steps help you out now.
Hey, I figured if I'm going to do this, I may as well have fun doing it. LOL! - Seriousely hope this helps though.

I've seen very similar behavior. We often play 2-player splitscreen, with the City/Modern texture pack (I forget the proper name). When we exit a world and then immediately start the same world again, it's not 100%, but it's a very high percentage of the time the console will lock up within 5-30 seconds. When it locks up, audio will still play normally, the background music continues, but the screen freezes and everything is nonresponsive - the only thing that works is holding the power button to shut down the PS3.
This most often occurs when doing an exit-without-save, in my experience. Rarely, first entering a world that's previously locked up like that will result in locking up again even after restarting, but usually it's only after exiting a world and then entering it again on the same session.
EDIT: Followup on your questions...
Offline always, often split-screen 2-player
City texture
Survival
I'm not sure, but I think the chance of lockup is slightly less if your view when you save the game is obstructed so when you start again, there's not much to render. That may be a red herring, though.
The risk might also be slightly less if you wait for the on-screen disk access indicator to go away after exiting the game before you go to the world selection screen, and if you wait before moving in the world for the on-screen disk indicator to stop (but I've had it happen even if I do wait). It usually happens before the second player can join.
EDIT AGAIN:
The key is, if it happens, it really only happens very shortly after you start in an existing world. I don't have it happen after we've been playing for a long time, only when we start (or quit and start again). It will happen with single player - I don't think it's specifically tied to two-player splitscreen. If you're two or three minutes into the world, though, then you're safe.
