Well i just was wandering if original 3DS could run Minecraft. So i took my old phone (made in 2013) and rooted it, cleared all software that are not part of system, and even some system apps to get it run pretty much only minecraft like 3DS would. Then i clocked phones CPU (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play, ARM Cortex A5) to 320MHz, to make it mostly similar to 3DS's clock around 280MHz, and locked it there. Then I downloaded MC:PE version 0.9.0 (first ever to have infinite worlds) and tried to run it. With all graphical settings at minimum FPS wasnt going below 30 i guess. Now i think if they do optimization on it, put limited worlds they should get it run smoothly providing that 3DS have pretty low screen resolution and that make games run better (lower dpi, lower CPU and GPU load). Now i know 3DS is outdated a bit and that its maybe pointless to port that old version with so many features missing, but those 3DS players would be happy i guess, and i really wanted to check if its theoretically possible. I guess there are reasons why it wouldnt work that i dont know and im really looking forward to know them
Well i cant port it if thats what you mean i just started coding in C++ 2 weeks ago or sth, and theres no source code (game files written in C++ in this case, which you can edit. If you take apk you get compiled files which means you cant open and edit them) for MCPE so even if i knew how i couldnt :'(... And mojang dont seem to think its possible or profitable. i guess its sad it wont happen while it has some loow chances of happening.

Not possible, Minecraft 3DS takes advantage of system calls and optimization features that aren't available in the o3DS firmware.
Just because it has (barely) enough memory to open and run, doesn't mean it wont crash you back to the home screen, possibly without getting past the 3DS logo, and spit an error at you.
The calls it uses are what made it possible to develop in the first place, why do you think it took so long to come out?

(im coming back later to post more specifics, i don't have my devtools on this PC with the unit blueprints)
oh great, more specifics is just what im looking for because im interested in everything that has to do with electronic, pcs, phones, consoles etc. and that was i reason why i made this post, to get more information why its impossible.

I saw some one post a similar topic on Gamefaqs, I'm not techie, but I think its possible, though like many other games played on 3DS vs New 3DS
the Frame Rate would be simply lower, as well as every thing else, operating slower.
Not enough to Crash the game, but would be laggier if you tried to do things too fast.
If you can find a way to accomplish this, GO FOR IT.
I'm currently playing on New model, and to me the game is, good, but it does have lag and frame rate inconsistency. Though it is very playable,
just don't try to PUSH the engine too fast.

The main problem would be the lack of buttons. And no second analog nub.
mmm
I think nintendo offers trade in for "New" 3DS XL's.
Most ppl don't know this buy you CAN buy "core" refurbished systems from Nintendo directly.
You have to call them. 1800 255 3700
In 2009, thats how I got 2 GBA SP AGS 101 models, (the ones with the norm+bright light settings).
They sold them to me for $40 each, I mean there pretty much new. In fact they look and play like they are brand new!

Notes:
The positions of the START and SELECT buttons were changed.
The position of the Power Button was changed so you can power on and off when the lid is closed.
The wireless switch was removed and replaced with an on/off toggle in the HOME Menu.
Camera can handle 14 lux brightness without noise while the old 3ds was 56 lux.
The camera also has a higher angle of view.
The outer camera LED and 3D LED that are on the old 3DS has been removed.
That's about it, I cant provide any of the many diagrams and more verbose specifics due to a non-disclosure agreement with Nintendo.
Edit:
Forgot about software differences.
Here's some things only N3DS has...
mvd:STD - hardware video decoder
qtm:* - head tracking
pxi:ps9 headers:
0x04010084
0x04020082
0x04030044
0x04040044
(used for Amiibo crypto, removed in 9.3.0-21, moved code to NFC Module)
I'm sure there's more, I just cant find them for now
