Hello there! Tried to play some Minecraft with friends (and mods) today but ran into some problems.
There we three of us:
*i7 - 9700K (4.7GHz) user (minecraft lags too much to be playable)
*i7 - 6700K (4GHz) user (minecraft lags a little bit)
*i7 - 6400 user (3.3GHz) (minecraft works perfectly fine)
We all have 16GB of RAM (6GB of which dedicated to minecraft) and decent GPU's.
The weird thing (if you didn't get it still) is the fact that i5 - 6400 did the best out of three.
I also noted that minecraft on the 9700K machine only utilizes 2 cores (see pic below)
While other two utilize all of their cores:
Other thing that i noticed is that "Gathering info" page of minecraft on a 9700k PC shows that CPY only have 2 cores (while on 6400 it is 4 cores and on 6700k - 8 cores)
Also minecraft on a 9700k machine says that it is single threaded, others do not:
We tried reinstalling Java, changing minecraft settings to low and using different Java arguments - nothing helped. Did you guys faced the same problem or maybe you know how to resolve it? Any help would be appreciated.
