We all know redstone wire, right? It carries signals up to 15 blocks and powers things.
But glowstone and gunpowder and sugar are just different-coloured redstone, so why can't we make wires out of those?
Well, scientists at our lab thought this was silly. So they came up with a way to make wires out of almost anything that can be sprinkled!
Glowstone wire can be powered like redstone. It emits a strong light when powered, but it can't transfer a signal. Perfect for unobtrusive, stylish lighting!
Unlike redstone, the signal doesn't fade out gradually, but rather cuts off abruptly after 15 blocks.
Curiously, it can be powered by redstone wire through a solid block.
You'd be forgiven for thinking sugar wire would just get eaten by animals. We thought that too. But as it turns out, if an animal finds the wire, it will actually follow the wire to the end, HAYO!
Animals are really stupid, though, and sometimes they'll take a minute to notice the wire is there, even if it's right under their noses.
Unfortunately, if you make a trail up to the edge of a cliff, the animals don't seem to be stupid enough to jump off. We're confident you can find a way to improvise with water streams.
We haven't yet found a way to stop animals going back the way they came.
Exposure to the elements makes gunpowder quite volatile, so much so that it will in fact go KABOOM at the slightest touch! Fire, players, mobs, dropped items, and even freakin' experience orbs have been observed to set off this mercurial concoction.
We're not quite sure what to make of this discovery, but we're sure that someone will find an application.
Blaze powder can be sprinkled on the ground, despite the fact that it doesn't typically form neat little piles like other dusts do. Blaze powder wires glow a dim orange, but they're actually red hot! Anything that touches Blaze powder will rapidly be ignited - perfect for quick and easy base defense!
What's more, both animals and monsters will walk right over it like it wasn't there (because they're stupid, HAYO!)
There's a rumour that one of our dustologists was fatally injured when he sprinkled dusts in a certain pattern and accidentally summoned a demon. This is an outright fabrication, and we have never observed any satanic effects caused by sprinkling dusts.

Hmm, looks neat. The images and the "HAYO" made me think you stole this off someone, but after some research, this is all yours
I'll suggest the wires not connecting to different colors, and then the black one having the capability of connecting cross-color, or a different kind of dust (redstone + gunpowder?).
And probably redstone + sugar which can't connect to anything but that

The black wire is glowstone, described as cutting off abruptly after fifteen blocks distance.
Ahem, normal redstone cuts off after 15 blocks too.
And this one's purpose is light, not power transmission.
But yeah, glowstone could use a better wire.
That wasn't my point. Redstone fades after fifteen blocks, this mod describes glowstone dust as cutting off abruptly, so it is full on yellow for fifteen blocks distance from the input then turns to black. It's not a separate wire in the image to be used to connect between the different dusts (of which, the rest of them don't even have anything to do with powering anything, so there's no reason to actually have them connect).
thanks for the handy mod. an odd error i found though was it ate up a lot of memory and i had to increase my available ram. ((might be a side affect of useing a fml that's in beta)) also i couldn't get it to run on my server. i'll test again once the forge 1.9 is out of beta. really enjoy the gunpowder and the suger dust effects and i look forward to using the mod more

OH MY WORD! I love your OP man! I don't know if I want this in my current build, but consider this bookmarked! lolololol

Cow winions? Is it possible?

I know, and my point is completly different. Heck, I didn't even read that it was glowstone. I was just suggesting a vanilla-ish version of ProjectRed
