Hey, i built a "machine" to zombiefy villagers and all of a sudden the zombie stopped detecting/attacking the villagers standing next to it. I suppose i can just replace the zombie or build another "machine" but I like knowledge so trying to find out why. What happened? Is there any way to fix it?
It indeed seems like the upper slab blocks the zombies pathing. Switched the upper slab to a wooden trapdoor and it seemed to fix it for now at least. The trapdoor is a bit smaller but still blocking the villager

This is link on the "machine":
thanks
I suspect the upper slab is blocking the zombies path.
Nevermind, I hadn't realized there was a slab under the zombie, adding that changed the situation.
The villager is too far away from the zombie.I built a copy of what's in your picture, spawned in a zombie and spawned a villager on the tracks. The zombie hit the villager knocking him back, then the zombie just stood there.I snuck up behind the villager and hit him, knocking him forward and the zombie hit him once knocking him back and stopped.Just testing.
