Hey all! This is my first post here on this forum. I'm new to Minecraft and have been playing for about 1-2 months now. I've been hearing some new noises and wanted to ask here. I've also got another question seen below as well.
So this noise is not consistent; they happen at various times (semi-often, once every three to four gamings). There is the background music going on (or not), but then then all of a sudden it'll sound like someone is pulling a metal box over concrete...or there will be this scary "string section" that lasts like 2 seconds. There is something else that sounds like "metallic thunder". These don't happen often but it makes me wonder what's going on? Is there something happening below the surface? These sounds will pop up when I'm underground as well. Anyone else came across these sounds? What do they mean?
Also, who is this guy in gold armor that all of a sudden comes at me? I've seen this guy at least 4 times now, but only lately. It's taken me about at least a month's playing time for this guy to show up. It looks like another human player all dressed in gold armor, except I'm on single player mode! I'm not playing with anyone else. Who is this guy?
there are a lot of new ones for the Nether, I haven't noticed any new ones in the Overworld but apparently the function that Minecraft uses to decide when to play them has been updated so maybe you could be hearing them where you haven't before.
The longer you play in a given area the more likely hostile mobs are to spawn with armor, so you probably saw a zombie or skeleton with armor.
The mob in gold armor might have been a husk. They have the same general features as zombies but they look human because they aren't green. They spawn in desert biomes and don't burn when the sun comes up.
