So I want to play a modpack on the Minecraft Technic Launcher (Official Crafting Dead) but it runs 1.6.4 (the staff will update it to 1.15.2 but they don't know when). My issue is, I'm trying to find a bedrock breaking glitch for 1.6.4 (I'm playing on the vanilla launcher to find a glitch that works). I tried the piston way with the 10 repeaters and headless pistons etc, I tried the bed and vines way etc. I tried every way I can think of and nothing works. Is there any glitch out there for 1.6.4 that can break bedrock in survival? I tried searching on Google and on YouTube but every thing I see doesn't work. I really need help with this.
I have no experience with this but if none of the other known methods work the only method I know of for sure that works in 1.6.4 is oak and jungle tree branches, but this only works for blocks horizontally adjacent to and near the trunk, not above or below (the same bug affected dark oaks in 1.7 and they could replace blocks below them but they do not exist in 1.6.4). Otherwise, I found this page which details all the known methods (as far as I can tell) for replacing bedrock:
(i find this interesting since I modified the block placing code to prevent bedrock from being replaced by anything other than a player in Creative - it seems like that was quite unnecessary as I previously fixed trees and portals, which can only replace blocks below them, can't generate on the Nether ceiling in 1.6.4)

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
