Me and a friend made this iron farm on a survival server, and it does not spawn any golems at all. The villagers seem to be in their scared state but still no golems are spawning on the platform above. I followed this tutorial on Youtube -
We have currently tried -
Killing cat entity's to reset the cat cap.
Blocking off the zombies from the villager and doing a day night cycle and unblocking from line of sight.
Replaced beds and tried different workstations.
All to which come to no avail. Please could someone help and suggest what might be happening.
There have been lots of changes to the iron golem spawning mechanics so you should probably use a farm that was designed for the version you are playing or has been confirmed to work for it.
Are the villagers using the workstations and beds?
They need to be scared and then not be scared for long enough to use the beds and workstations.
Unless you can verify that they are using the workstations I would suspect that the workstations are too high up, the Wiki claims that workstations can only be used if they are at or below the villagers legs. You could try adding workstations 1 block lower (make sure the golems can't spawn on top of them, perhaps use lecterns or other workstations without flat tops.)
Also, in at least some versions, villagers may need to have at least 2 blocks to move around in to use the workstations.
Also, in at least some versions, I think that villagers need at least 2 blocks of space to move around in to use the workstations
