On a 1.12.2 server a player has been developing a village. Fencing, animal pens, etc.
Extra doors were added and one extra Golem was constructed. There are now three of them.
The village developer accidentally did something to raise the ire of some of Golems.
What needs to be done to get them to stop attacking that player?
The Wiki now only references the newer MC releases.
What is the/a solution for a 1.12.2 world server?

There are no dangerous weapons. There are only dangerous people. R.A. Heinlein
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.
I think player constructed golems will not attack a player under any circumstance. Therefore if u destroy the village generated golems and replace with player constructed ones, should be ok. In your post u said some of the golems were attacking, i'd guess they were the village generated ones.

True. We destroyed all Golems, removed ALL doors, waited about 20 minutes real time for the server to react.
Strangely, even with all doors gone Locate Village still showed the coordinates of the Well.
Replaced the doors and built two Golems.
The player isn't being attacked now.

There is no need to kill hostile iron golems since reputation is stored as part of a village, not as entity data (iron golems have an AI function which checks their associated "village" object for players with low reputation), so destroying the village will make them neutral again (moving out of range will also work if a player's reputation isn't too low).

I believe trading with the villagers should raise his reputation in the village. And of course not attacking any golems/villagers.
(Temporarily) destroying the village, by breaking all the doors, should zero their reputation.
All the old versions of the Wiki pages should be kept in history.
Just click on the History tab and chose a page from before July 18, 2018 (when 1.13 was released.)
Just testing.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
