I'm playing a vanilla survival, and went to the End too early. I thought I was ready, and I managed okay for a while, but when I died, I realized I have no way to fix that - not enough backup gear to be able to run in and grab my stuff. I tried to use the /ob_inventory restore command to at least get my primary gear back so I wouldn't have to replace it, but I get an "unknown command" error (not a permissions error). Is this command no longer valid?
Thanks. I ran into the command in several threads on other forums, but never saw a reference to it being a mod. But since I don't seem to have it (and you don't recognize it), probably it is something added by a mod. Thanks for the response!
The nice thing is that if you died in the end, your items will not despawn because the chunks are not loaded. You can take some time to gear back up and then, when you're ready, go back and get your stuff.
If you wish to play with keep inventory. Then, first your world needs to have cheats enabled and the command is "/gamerule keepInventory true" to turn it on. After typing that from now on when you die you respawn back with everything . In my opinion Mojang should really make this gamemode option easier to access so newer players can get a grip on the game.

It appears to be from some mod, I'm pretty sure that vanilla Minecraft has never had anything like that.
You could always use the creative menu or the /give command to give yourself the things you remember having (unless you're on a server of course).
If you have cheats disabled you can enable them temporarily by opening the game to LAN from the pause screen.
(Don't forget to switch back to survival before closing LAN mode.)
Just testing.

I hadn't even thought of that. That does help. I can make another set of good gear, and use the one to rescue the other - back and forth. Thanks.
