I'm playing on a 1.14.4 realm, I've started creating a slime farm. I've got 1 level done but i've seen 0 slimes so far. There was a slime chunk finder used for this. Does anyone know why it is not working? It's on Y=31 and i have lit up nearby caves.
Mobs can spawn within 128 blocks of a player, all players if there are others online.
Line 5 of your debug screen reads E:22/72, that means that there ar at least 72 "entities" loaded.
Entities are mostly mobs, though mine carts and such are counted as well, and of course passive mobs which aren't a problem since they have a separate mob cap.
So you should find out what those 72 entities are and, if they are hostile mobs get rid of them.
Is that where you stand waiting for them? Slimes won't spawn within 24 blocks of a player. If your room is chunk-sized (16x16), then you're too close. I'd say go up or down at least 24 blocks from center and wait for them there. The problem with waiting that far away is that you won't know if any are spawned and will waste more time running back and forth. Most farms I've seen are a bit taller and have an iron golem on a pedestal in the center on a cactus. Surround the cactus with a couple rows of hoppers. The slimes spawn, try to attack the iron golem and are killed by the cactus. The slime balls then drop into the hoppers and feed into a chest.
I've been sitting 24 blocks away from the farm for about 10 mins and nothing has spawned. That isnt the full farm, im just trying to see if slimes actually spawn before i build the whole thing

What does "nearby" mean?

And double check that you are in the right chunk.
Just testing.

ive cleared out as many hostile mobs as i can, and lit up a lot of caves and yet still none are spawning.
