hey everyone. i have check out a bunch of threads but they either refer to the wiki or have all that complicated math junk. the wiki is what i would prefer except that i don't know what a rectangle 32 blocks is lol.
(from the wiki)
Size:
The village size is a rectangle 32 blocks from the village center, or 32 blocks from points of interest away from the center. The village center is typically the northwest corner of the village bell, or one of the claimed beds if there is no bell. The smallest rectangular size is 64×64 blocks. Using the knowledge gained here, you can build an artificial Village!
I am including an image of a rough draft i made of the layout i want to use. maybe if someone could add to that or use their own illustration to show what as rectangle 32 blocks is i can move on lol
You're overthinking it. Start at the bell, then walk away in one direction for 33 blocks (this allows you to make a single-block mistake in your counting). Repeat for all 4 directions, and that's your village. If you have buildings further out than this, start the count from the outer edge of those instead of the bell.
