I set up a bit of automation around growing Celestial Crystals. I took one of my max stats (900 size, 100% purity, 100% cutting) crystals and wanted to make it split into two smaller crystals. Initially I tried a Block Placer and a Fluid Placer from Actually Additions. While the former worked at placing a bucket of liquid starlight, I could not get the Block Placer to work at all. Nor would an Extra Utilities Mechanical User. I ended up going with a simple vanilla Dispenser to put the crystal into the starlight
The result was two smaller crystals, which were much smaller in both size and cutting, but were both 100% purity.
I also made the Stellar Refraction Table. This allows both enchantment of items and books, as well a potion brewing. Per the Astral Tome, using the Table can exceed all other forms of enchantment in the game.
This also requires something called Infused Glass. This is used to combine the power of up to 3 different constellations onto parchment, which can then be applied to items or books to make the enchantment, or potions can be brewed by adding awkward, thick or mundane potions to the table. Enchanting items or brewing damages the Infused Glass, and after 10 uses it breaks.
The crafting process for the Table creates rainbow particle effects that come from whatever starlight source you are using to boost the Celestial Altar (in this case a Celestial Collector Crystal):
Crafting this would not be possible in the day time without the Collector Crystal. Unlike the Altar, the Table needs the darkest part of the night to successfully enchant. If too close to dusk or dawn, the Infused Glass will burn the parchment.
All the while I have been doing this, I also expanded my base. The area where I was growing crystals (and where I am doing so again) was where I was going to do Botania. The new area has plenty of room for Botania and for breeding bees, which I eventually plan on doing.
In addition, I forgot that my Laser Drill was on, so when I checked, it had completely filled one page on the Large Storage Crate and was starting to fill the second page. I also made sure my Void Ore Miners (I created a Tier 1 with a Black Lens in my base just to get Lonsdaleite Crystals, used in making the modifiers) were off. I took a bit of a break and started processing everything that was mined.
I finished building my Wild West Town. I built some gallows and the result was pretty hilarious. I was hoping to hang a zombie but you can't lead them. Might replace the horse with an Iron Golem in case PETA comes after me for animal abuse. I also have a skeleton horse I could use here.

Finished the first section of my hobbit home, will be adding more sections off to the sides in the future for an enchanting room, mineshaft entrance, and possibly some storage once I need it.
I beat the Wither Boss solo yesterday! I spawned it in The End. I hid under the portal shooting arrows until 50% health. The Endermen are a slight distraction but the fight was VERY tough! I used 4 buckets of Milk, 6 Health Potions, 2 Golden Apples and my one and only Enchanted Apple when the Wither was down to about 20% health. It was my last resort but had to eat it to survive. After the fight, almost all of the Obsidian Towers had been destroyed! I wish I got a screenshot of the aftermath. I now have my first and possibly only Beacon.

See my Minecraft world (100% Survival), Dirty Baker City here:
Cleaning up my base, changing things around to make them look a little prettier. I've started playing around with the idea of hollowing out the mountains I live on (Shattered Savannah biome) to make room for a vertical village, maybe some cool underground gardens.
I also might undertake a huuuge renovation to make my things look a bit more "epic" and foreboding; more "towering fortress on top of even-more-towering mountains" than the current "humble home atop a mountain" that I currently have going on. But we'll see.
I upgraded my Void Ore Miner to tier 3. I needed 166 Kyronite crystals for this; I got a bit over 3 stacks of it. I had to clear out some more space in the area in the Mining Dimension I had set up as the new structure was running into the Draconic Energy orb.
So I cleared out about 3 meters of space, changing the stairs coming down into the room so they ran along the wall.
I let the miner run while I was exploring the world a lot, and as a result I had a lot of ores to process. I've already gotten more than enough (409) Pladium crystals to upgrade the miner to tier 4, and throw in a few Accuracy Modifiers. These are now craftable where I could not make them at tier 2.
I also did a lot of things with Astral Sorcery. I got Attuned Celestial Crystals for each of the 12 bright and dim constellations, upgraded the crafting altar to the Iridescent Altar, which unlocked the Radiance Chapter, made some Regen IV Stardew potions and put Power VII and Infinity on the Draconic Bow. In order to do this, it had to be done with the existing enchantments stripped off, and on the Stellar Refraction Table. For the bow, I chose 2 Discidia and a Pelotrio. Discidia puts Power III-VII on bows, and Sharpness III-VII on swords.
I also got a Phoenix Fire potion effect added to one of my Regen IV Stardew. This lasts for about 6-8 minutes, and saves you from death.
The Stellar Refraction Table in action:
The colored lenses on either side will light up while the table is working, and constellations to be added to items, books or potions will generate small lightning bolts as above.
The Iridescent Altar:
The Enhanced Celestial Collector Crystal on the left is the original one I had set up here, attuned to Aevitas. After upgrading the altar, I had only about half power in it during the day. Adding a second one attuned to Armara maxed the starlight power during the day. I chose Armara to complement Aevitas - the former appears on the first 5 moon phases, while Aevitas appears on the last 5. Many of the tier 5 recipes require additional items to be added during the crafting process; they are placed on the Spectral Relays. I had to locate them on the outermost edge of the Sooty Marble as anywhere else seemed to reduce the starlight power to almost half again. There is also a slot for an attuned crystal; some recipes require focused starlight from a specific constellation.
The block in the center of the screen is an Observatory. This replaces the Telescope and allows faint constellations to be discovered. It requires a Lucerna (light) attuned crystal in the altar's slot, and the constellation to be in the sky when crafting.
This took a long time and a lot of starlight power to craft.
Edit: I went to the Woodland Mansion to check on the progress of the Dynamism Gems I was growing there and saw this:
Fortunately I had gotten everything I wanted to keep out of here when I raided the place a long time ago. Its a shame to see it got burned down.
I remodeled a village for all the villages from my old iron farms, which includes 36 villagers from the 3 iron farms. I realize that the village itself is too large so it works more like two villages in one. I have spaces for all of the professions and places for all the villagers to sleep. Some of the haven't found their workstations yet, but at least they have a secure area that is completely lit up so mobs don't spawn. I made hillside apartments in the mountain but I'm not sure if the villagers will use them.
Since my world is very industrial and more futuristic in its builds, I replaced the vanilla paintings with space scenes.
I got started in Botania, getting close to the point where I can make Terrasteel and open the portal to Alfheim.
The only Astral Sorcery related thing I did was to harvest all of the fully grown Dynamism Gems at the ruins of the Woodland Mansion. I was looking for 8% projectile damage, 8% maximum life, but the best I got was 7 & 7% of each.
Among the Botania things I did was to make Living Wood and Living Rock, make a Mana Pool, a Mana Spreader, and 8 Endoflames. These flowers will consume fuel items and produce mana. I have 4 Droppers above them connected to a Dark Utilities Timer currently set for 450 ticks (22.5 sec.). Coal is being fed the Droppers from a 4x1 Mk III Power Flower with the Energy Condenser targeting coal. Connected to it is an EnderIO Item Conduit, and also connected is Redstone Conduit to the timer. Like all EnderIO cables, multiple types can go in one block space.
I also built the Runic Altar and made some of all of the Runes. I made 8 each of Air, Earth, Water, and Fire, 8 each of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, and 4 each of Mana, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride.
Then I decided I would go exploring in the opposite direction of the first Woodland Mansion to try and find another. About 13,000 meters out I found a Cartographer in a village that traded with me for a map to another Woodland Mansion. I explored NE of the village, and came upon it in a Snowy Coniferous Forest (a BoP biome).
This one's more than double the distance away from my base that the other one was.
One of the Mansion's inhabitants
That's an Evoker standing in the corner of that room. I set a teleport destination in my Advanced Dislocater, setting it about 100m from the front doorway. I also put a Mega Torch there.
i went back to alpha versions to relive old memories and wow its way harder as i forgot beds weren't a thing and got killed, just like my first night all those years ago
Yesterday I found one of my villagers on the wrong side of the fence outside of the village. I broke a hole in the fence and tried to push him through it into the village, but I was too clumsy and he ran away from the fence. I quickly crafted a boat, thinking I could chase him down and push him into the boat and then row the boat on land through the fence, but he kept dodging me. He finally jumped into a minecart standing right outside the fence. I decided to break the minecart and push the villager into the boat, but I gave the minecart a push by mistake. The minecart took off down the track with the villager in it. I ran after the minecart and caught up with it at the end of the line at the next village. I finally succeeded in pushing the villager into the second village, but he wasn't happy, so I had to build him his own house and bed. It was just one of those days.
Spent 3 RT hours rearranging my storage in a more systematic fashion. Finished up on my new armor except still need feather-falling to put on my boots. Extended my level 11 future rail tunnel another 500 blocks to the north and started a branch to the west as well.
MC Day 14711: Still on my Nether Castle build. My main work has been terraforming, mining Netherrack from encroaching areas on the build and smelting it to form Nether Bricks & Slabs to face off the internal levels. Been quite high up to remove overhangs, not easy when you are on a 1 block layer with a Ghast trying to turn it into Swiss cheese. But not fallen so far. Won’t belong before I can start populating it and designing the Castle proper.
The Castle will have three underground levels, the first is bricked out now, has windows letting in lava light from the surrounding lake. Most of the farms and functions (Enchanting, Brewing etc) will go here. Level 2 is nearly bricked out (just a portion of the ceiling to do), and will be where the minecart terminal is located on the branch from the main line. Both levels 1 and 2 are half slabbed to prevent spawns. Level 3 will be an XP farm as it will be the only spawnable area in the castle, so will just aggro the pigmen and chop ‘em up in a closed off area. Topside I intend to have some sort of Ghast theme with a statue, or maybe some murals of its face with different expressions. As the third level is still work in process, I’ve had Ghasts spawn down there, so its been useful to get screenshots quite close up - I heard one down there recently and used an Invisibility potion I had one me for the occasion, so I was able to get him from all angles.
View from the front. Not much to see, just the profile. About 90 x 80 blocks area.

I did some more things in Botania: I made the Terrestrial Agglomeration Plate, which is used to make Terrasteel. You need to put a Mana Pearl, Mana Diamond and a Manasteel Ingot on it, and have half a pool's worth of mana. You also need to make a couple of Sparks. These transfer mana from a pool to a block that uses it, such as the Plate. Once I had enough mana accumulated in the pool, I was able to make a Terrasteel ingot. You make this into nuggets. 3 are used in the Elven Gateway Core, while 3 are used in each Natura Pylon. Both of these must be placed over a Mana Pool within an 11x11 area near the Core.
Initially I found that I could not get mana to the Portal's pools via sparks. So I made the Mana Tablet and filled each pool about halfway with mana,. 1/4 pool on each is required to open it. Keeping it open is free; it is when you trade things through the portal that some mana is used.
Once opened, the first thing you should trade with the elves is your Lexica Botanica. You will receive back an updated version that unlocks the rest of the mod.
For mana generation, I chose to go again with a flower I have used before, the Kekimurus. I have a total of 4 being fed cake through item conduits through Mechanical Users. A 5x1 Mk III power flower makes cake and feeds it through Item Conduits to each User. There are also Redstone Conduits connected to each of these. They are set to run on a timer with a 1200 tick (1 minute) delay:
I chose to make a couple of Elven Mana Spreaders for this setup, and each pool has a spark over it. Those sparks have Recessive Augments, which transfer their mana to all nearby pools.
I've decided it is time to re-wire my base. Well technically there are no wires anywhere in the base as I am using Draconic Evolution's power transfer system. Some time ago I replaced all of the cables with Wyvern Energy Relay, I/O and Wireless Crystals, which have met my needs just fine. But recently I added Watches of Flowing Time on Dark Matter Pedestals to my main ore processing room with my Thermal and EnderIO machines. There is also a Horologium Ritual I have running above the room, with a Ritual Anchor linking to the area above the Thermal machines. When the Watches are active, they cause a lot of energy to be drained from the machines when running so fast. I'm thinking that upgrading my entire base to Draconic Energy Crystals will improve power transfer quite a bit.
I had been looking at the recipe for the Draconic tier Wireless Crystals thinking that they needed Chaos Shards to craft. But that is only when upgrading a Wyvern Wireless Crystal through Draconic Fusion. There is another recipe that allows crafting from Draconic Energy Relay Crystals using 2 Eyes of Ender, 4 Ender Pearls and 2 Particle Generators. The last are components in all of the wireless crystal recipes, as well as the Fusion Core. The Relay and IO crystals all have EMC, while the wireless ones do not as they used Eyes of Ender (Blaze Powder has no EMC). I have so far made 16 of the relay crystals and 4 wireless ones. I may keep most of the Wyvern Wireless Crystals I have and only upgrade a few, such as those in my main machine room and in the Draconic Evolution room. The Energy Infuser will run faster with Draconic level energy transfer.
Just finished my Old West Mexican Mission/Villa/Hacienda...not sure what to call it. Took me a while to get all the bells. Still need to populate with a few additional villagers. Already have 3 cured zombie villagers.

See my Minecraft world (100% Survival), Dirty Baker City here:
I did a lot of exploring my world lately, mapping out areas I had not been to yet.
While exploring I came upon two biomes I have not discovered yet, one vanilla, the other Biome O Plenty.
Here is the vanilla biome I found:
This is far to the south of my base, and west of the 1st Woodland Mansion I found. There's also an Ancient Shrine with a Collector Crystal in it. While I cannot harvest that crystal, there are loot chests to be found in the room with the crystal. I didn't bother getting any of it as I have plenty of resources.
Then on the far west side of the world I encountered this:
This is perhaps the spookiest of all the BoP biomes. You find Umbran trees here as well as Brambles (the red plants in the center) and Deathblooms. Those are the small white flowers in the screenshot. They give you Wither I when stepped on or touched, but they are perfectly safe when picked up. There is an advancement in the mod called Yin and Yang, where you plant a Deathbloom in the Mystic Grove biome and a Glowflower (found in Mystic Groves) in the Ominous Woods.

Deathblooms can also be crafted into black dye.
the last time i played i found diamonds from the stairwell i built into a mountain besides a bunch of iron.
