Finished stage 2 of the human challenge! Not many pics, but this next stage should be a bit more meaty. Also, I'm putting story to it 'cause I want to.
After getting the beginning of a settlement established, a small garrison of troops arrived to secure the area. They quickly erected a small barracks with remarkably few trips to the quarry:
Of course, it was secured with a small wall and a lousy gate, at least until the engineers show up to install the gate proper.
The barracks is just a hallway separating two wings: The garrison and the mess hall. The garrison is very sparse, containing beds for the 8 solders and the captian.
Across the hall is the mess hall, with a kitchen and dining area.
Behind the barracks is a training area for hand-to-hand and melee weapons.
An archery range is set up on the North end of the compound.
With all the construction, three new houses were built to house more people.
Some pigs were rounded up to create a variety in the meat rations.
Unfortunately, up until this point, the villagers and now soldiers were only able to use the planted crops as feed for the animals, due to a lack of processing equipment. One of the builders was an engineer in training, and quickly set the remaining workers to the task of making a windmill.
The grindstone took a while to set in place, but having done so, the village now had a steady supply of flour.
The flour was distributed amongst the people, but one quickly showed himself to be a phenomenal baker, and had a shop erected for the benefit of the community.
Inside is a large work area and 6 ovens to maximize the output of bread.
While the village currently only contains a few children, it was decided to be in the benefit of everyone to construct a public park. While small, it offers a nice place to catch a break from the rigors of daily work.
The current map:
The windmill is the farthest thing on the left, with the dark gray gravel path. The northmost building is the bakery. The north wing of the barracks are the beds, south wing is the mess. You can see the training dummys in the southwest corner of the barracks, and the archery targets in the northeast corner.
Hope you all enjoy my work, I'm particularly proud of the windmill (though I must admit, I sort of borrowed the actual blade design from a MineCraft windmill made by someone else and found on Google). And I know I don't have pics, but I promise I have the full iron armor in a chest (don't want to use it until my leather armor is toast), and I've got all other required materials. I'll be sure to get pics of the required stuffs next time, promise.
Hey everybody, I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I've got a new computer, got Minecraft installed, and I'm now fully up-to-date with 1.3.2. The bad news is that I probably won't be able to work much on my old saves, so I'll be more-or-less permanently stuck on Stage 3 of the human challenge. I could start over, or I might try a different challenge...I'll let you know what's what when I know.
Hay guys
Finished stage one of the human city i was building last night. I was going to post a few pictures up (though there is not much to show) but I'm having some difficulty. I'll get them up if i can.
I'm going to stage stage two, though i may change the style in houses a bit. Seeing how these are supposed to be farm houses and I've been making typical city houses they look a bit off.
P.S. Noddy question here, but how do i get pictures inside spoiler boxes? Just so i don't clog up the forum is why i want to know.
this will show up...
...like this.
I look forward to seeing your pics! I'm siting my castle right now... Gotta plan out where the entire city is going to be first. XD And of course, I'm using bricks for the noble's houses, so I'll be hunting clay for the next few weeks. XP

Like I said, guys, we're all really busy. Ever since school hit I've been loaded with homework and projects. I wont be able to update it until we get a break. And even when I get a break, that doesn't mean the team will, we all have different lives, they could still be busy. I haven't had much to even update with anyways. Either way, I wont be able to update until we get a good break off of school.

PM Amazingsniper8 or I for more information.
Can anyone suggest a good, free organizer program for organizing objectives by race and stage, and checking off things as you complete them? I had one, but it was a free trial. Also if anyone is doing a server for this that's still early on and looking for players, please tell me, I'd like to try this with a group.
