As a Side note: some of my post have been deleted from here that i posted from mobile? Wonder why? I haven't done anything against terms that i know of? weird?
I doubt that you did anything against the rules, posts I make on my Ipod always end up getting deleted too. I think it's not that they actually get deleted but maybe they never even get posted.
Hey guys! Just wanted to pop over here (and over on the M-FCB and R2R forums) to let you all know that episode four is going to take a nice long while before it comes out. Why?
I wound up getting so into what I was doing that I wound up recording for 2 HOURS.
A lot of this footage was running around completing a build and gathering resources for making our first spell (which are resources you can't really plan for) which are parts of the episode that will be either sped up or cut entirely, but plan for it to be at least an hour long.
Upon doing this, I decided to change my ideal episode length to a minimum of one hour so I can stop apologizing for super long episodes. It's just the way I end up doing things and I don't hear any complaints coming from you guys. I don't think.
Hopefully you guys will enjoy watching the episode as much as I did recording it. Can't say I'm gonna love spending up to 3+ hours editing that, though (when I edit I watch through the entire raw episode at normal speed and insert cuts and edits as I go along. Afterward, I usually watch it through at least twice to make sure nothing's messed up).
Thanks guys and hopefully I'll get the episode out before DragonCon. If I don't I'll see about editing it during the con and maybe getting it out to you guys by Tuesday.

I don't mean to be unapproachable. I accept critiques and suggestions well, so please, by all means, make as many suggestions as you would like.
When I record I never record in such a way so there are good stopping points. Like I said, good news is ~40 mins of it is me building the magic building, so it should only last ~1 hr. I have not edited it yet (or had time to wait for the raw video to save in an appropriate format) but I will edit it soon and it will be uploaded soon. I unfortunately do not know how soon because, as mentioned previously, this weekend is Dragon Con and I will be there (and will be busy preparing my cosplay until then and doing various house chores) from Friday evening to Tuesday morning.
TL;DR: I can't split the episode into two because I don't commentate in a way that presents good stopping points that make sense. I also want to present an episode that features more than just speed building (hence why many of my episodes get long). I haven't had time to save the video in an appropriate format nor have I had time to edit it (because cosplay and house chores), but I do plan to get it out either before or after Dragon Con. I will be at Dragon Con from Friday evening to Tuesday morning.
Thanks, guys!

Ok so I'm gonna work on a material list for all materials from vanilla, tinkers construct, and thermal expansions. Magic mod tools should be unique to each challenge due to some starting earlier or later, in addition to them already having an unlocking and/or research system. I may have the lists based off of mining level and maybe not, it depends. If it is based on mining level you could just say "Mining level 4" at the beginning of a stage and then people can refer back to a list of some kind about it. Anyways this is to be included later.
EDIT: Alright guys I'm collecting shadered images of challenges to use in a collection of banners that I'll make using my handy dandy photo editing skills without the SignatureCraft.us thing in the way. I could use the photos Warlock posted earlier with the Egyptian challenge and if I can find the other challenge I could use those, but some forest/jungly/snowy/plainsy/mesay/angely would be nice too so we have a broad spectrum of them that you can choose from based on your alignment
I've found I can only run one shader pack on my computer and while it does not provide the crisp shadows we're used to from SEUS, it does make a difference.

You could also send me the map and then I'll take pictures of it if you like. I think I have pretty good shaders that are nice and snazzy, so if you want better shaders than what you have just send me the map.
Honestly I feel the only thing that can help make caps of my town look better would be lens flare and water reflection (as well as dynamic lighting) which is what the pack I can use does (and I can do some tricks with gradients and things to make them look even better). If you decide that you want them to look more snazzy I'll be more than happy to send you the map - just note that it's strictly in survival mode so unless you try to cheat around with NEI or something you won't be able to fly, though there are some mountains you can climb on top of for a fairly decent view of half the town. The other half is in the middle of spruce woods (and there isn't much built there aside from some houses, the town hall and the in-progress greenhouse).
[EDIT] Please allow time for me to organize the mods needed, though. I play modded minecraft in 1.7.10 and given the small amount of mods made for 1.8 I haven't downloaded the forge versions and things necessary for it yet.
Ugh if someone does beat the advanced challenge I'll feel obliged to beat it too... so please don't
or do
depends on your viewpoint.
But for real you should do it and keep us posted because we need stuff to talk about here since it's a bit quiet.
Also do you people think that I should rank the modded metals based on their mining level or should it just be whether or not they need a tinkers smeltery? Either way is pretty logical. Metals in tinkers are pretty much the same to handle... maybe you need to discover alloys but other than that, I don't see a reason to have a difference between iron and cobalt.
My silence is due (in part) to back-to-back dates while my fiance was home for a short break and school. I am spending most of my days reading from a textbook now. Thankfully it's a fun book to read from.

After a long time away from Minecraft. I have returned! So no one has beaten the advanced challenge? I might just have to take the challenge! (Yay for horrible puns) With sports finally coming to an end I'll have time to play.
Just wanted to show my stopping point for my personal City Construction challenge, with FTB. I took inspiration from all the various city building challenges.
I will be continuing with a Minecraft 1.7.10 FTB challenge, but this time a smaller scale challenge I can do 'quicker', the Castle Building Challenge!
Just an update for those of you that aren't following either the R2R thread or my thread. I uploaded episode 4 a few days ago and I've recorded episodes 5 and 6 (roughly 5 or 6 hours of gameplay for 2 1-hour episodes).
School is... going. I have 3 more weeks in this class and then I'll have a couple weeks off before my next one starts on November 30th. Hopefully that'll give me time to record some episodes ahead so I can get them edited and upload weekly throughout the term (the next term will have 8 weeks of class and a 1-week break during the class, so I need to record 9 episodes as well as the ones I'll be uploading during those weeks of break). So. Fun stuff. My next class is yet another English class because 3 is not enough.
The episode:
Enjoy!

Just so you know, you can open to LAN and enable cheats. This makes it so you can use commands even if you set the world to be without cheats.
Has anyone completed the Advanced Human yet?

I've gotten a little less than halfway on it before I gave up, I think that's the record so far. Go ahead and see if you can beat it if you want!
PM Amazingsniper8 or I for more information.
What stage? Because I'm thinking about tackling it.

I think it was the Metallurgy Discovery in the Medieval Era, somewhere around there is where I stopped.

That's "IF" i do it because for some reason I can't seem to stay in a minecraft world for more than a week.
