I find it weird that I find this after uploading a new building series, starting with a guide on building a simple castle...
Dude, take a look at the dates-- I posted this thread MONTHS before you uploaded that video. So no, I'm not copying you, if that's what you're implying.

Going to go ahead and start on this challenge, looks good. Good job on it man.
I'll edit some screenshots into this post with the completion of each age.

The bedroom in the room below the tower, the log block was my spawn. (I spawned on a hill, that's why my spawn's underground):
Very bottom floor under the tower, this will end up being my treasure room:
My cow pen:
My wheat area:
The Items:
Lastly, I thought you might want to see this EPIC cave that's only ~50 blocks from my keep.
I'm almost finished with the stone age...before I move on, I'm wondering if I am allowed to tear down everything and rebuild.
I'm just sort of unhappy with my setup at the moment, and I had an epic idea of how I would rather have it....if it comes out right XD
Three of my animal pens, cows, pigs, and sheep(With roofs!)
and unpictured I do have a fourth pen, with chickens(Well, rather a coop LOL),inside the wall.
My main keep type building

Thankfully, stone lasts a good deal longer, and the age is actually simpler to progress through as you can recycle most of what you have already constructed
The outer wall is not so bad either, digging a good long 3x3 mineshaft will give the cobble in no time.
Stone Tools feels like Diamond compared to Wooden hahaha. Yep, I plan to mine a lot, and make a secondary wall all around the area, what I made is the Motte and Bailey of the future castle. Btw, your building looks very nice man! What texture pack are you using?
Anybody know if you're allowed to tear down everything and rebuild? I was planning to after I finished the stone age, but I might not now...since I could be half done with the iron age by now, lol(Waiting for responses XD)

I opened my eyes, feeling dazed and confused. Where am I? How did I get here?
I found myself sitting on some leaves, and as I looked around it became apparent I was in some sort of Jungle. I had no idea how I could have possibly gotten here. But what now? What should I do?
Something, some sort of instinct or voice in my head, told me to build.
I started by replacing the spot I first found myself on with something more permanent than leaves. I can't quite put my finger on it, but this place is special, sacred even. It must be protected at all costs. I have come to call this place First Block.
By nightfall I had fortified First Block so that it could not be rained on, and so that any evil creatures that may be lurking the jungle would not get to it. I did not see any hostile creatures that first night, thankfully, but I could hear them. I did not sleep at all that first, long and dreadful night.
I survived, and as the morning came, I had managed to scrounge a few seeds and plant them in a little pond nearby. I then spent the rest of the day chopping down a great deal of the trees and bushes in the area. By the second night I had horrible pangs of hunger, so I headed down towards the wheat patch. On my way I heard a strange noise from behind me, rattling and clanking. I fumbled clumsily for my sword, but a sudden sharp pain in my back told me I was too late. I blacked out.
This is not the end however, not at all. I woke up on top of First Block, who knows how much later, with no arrows poking out of me, and no more hunger pangs. This truly was a sacred place.
The next thing I set out to build was a solid, fortified log wall around my little home.
I also found some pigs in the area which I penned in, in hopes of breeding them as a source of food. This was not enough though, so I set off on a journey to find more animals. To the east, I stumbled across a large tundra which was abundant in all sorts of animals. I spent a good while dragging several of each home and penning them in.
Finally, I dug out a small living space below my little "keep". I plan on improving this greatly as I expand my home, but it will do for now.

(This challenge is really fun ^^)
(I plan to make this significantly less ugly now that I'm not stuck with wooden tools anymore, I promise)
Outside,
To the right is the wheat farm.
Further ahead around the corner is a second wall, protecting from the North.
In the bottom left is the first wall, smaller than the second, that guards the East.
Next to the house is the stables. (I managed to snag two animals in the Wooden Age.)
Inside:
Four double chests, only one filled. Mostly wood from the jungle biome nearby, then spare tools, then misc blocks.
Five furnaces, one crafting table.
I didn't get the Skylights in theses shots but there are glass blocks above in the center of both rooms.
The second room's chest contains a sapling. (although there are like thirty in the first room).
The stone room in the back was where I hid the first night.
Mh can the secondary wall has buildings inside?
Or has ist to be only around the keep?
There can be buildings inside if, if you wish. The idea of the 'secondary wall' is that it allows you to keep your log wall that you build in the wooden age-- during the stone age, you simply build another stone wall around the log wall. You know, they way all those defensive fortresses have inner walls and big beefy outter walls.
Turns out those "iron ingot"s can be used for quite a few fun tricks! Who would have known that stone age people like us could progress so fast by trying to cook and eat some red rocks...
By making use of the properties of this new iron in regards to casting and moulding, we have managed to create tools to harvest wool from sheep, containers to move liquids and even sharper swords and stronger axes and armour! But of course, with great power comes great danger, so we have been forced to further reinforce the strongholds, as the undead are unrelenting in their hunger for brains.
First a view of the castle from the main gate - Work has already begun here on making the wall and gatehouse utterly impenetrable!
Same direction, but from a slightly elevated position.
As the undead continue their assault, our need for combat practice has resulted in a combat training yard.
Soldiers need lodging as well as practice though, so the barracks is there to accomodate the garrison.
The courtyard has had a well added to it - A well with a deep and dark secret...
After learning the secrets of iron working, a workshop has been constructed for the castle smith.
The Great Hall has been expanded with a proper throne, as well as tables and benches.
Due to endermen teleporting through walls, the Holy Spot has been protected by a water feature, and has been dubbed the Fountain of Rebirth.
The royal treasury - hopefully the chest will one day overflow with gold and jewellery!
The first level of the castle basement - Will provide room for a massive kitchen and servants' quarters before too long!
Wheat farm is doing well, providing plenty of grain for livestock and people alike.
The mine is deeper than ever, and the riches containing within the rock will soon be uncovered!
All this construction work has caused a massive demand for wood, so a tree farm has been established within the Great Wall.
And to end this little montage, another aerial shot of the stronghold.
With all this progress being made, I do believe the castle and its inhabitants are about to enter a Golden Age!
Very nice! I love the design of the anvil-- it's such a small thing, but it looks really awesome with the upsidedown stone stair.
Man, I really need to get with the times and upgrade from 1.7.3....

I am indeed reading this. I'm just being quiet until needed.
Great to know. I'm still slaving away at Stone Age since I decided to demolish a moderate sized jungle mountain range that fell within my square borders. It will probably take some time, but at least my castle is coming along with the materials I'm getting.
An ornamental grassy area, usually involving trees, flowers, fountains, mazes, etc. Can be as fancy or humble as you want.
Could I put this at the top of my castle? I've already built the dirt staircase to get grass up there. I also plan on moving my spawn brick up there (the diamond one) once I get to Iron Age and put a glass covering/dome over the courtyard so that it is protected. I hope this is okay.
This challenge has been really fun, so far. No problems aside from around 3 skeletons at the same time. Armed with only my wooden sword, I died. House is constructed; working on wheat farm. I haven't seen a single cow, so it looks like I need to go exploring.

No. It needs to be inside the main (stone) wall.
