It's probably nothing special, but I thought it was a neat occurrence.

First trader

Second trader, spawned the day after

Both traders (second is behind the birch board)
Neither of them had anything I was really interested in, sadly. The first one had blue ice though, which would've been great to display if I had enough emeralds to buy it.
EDIT: I should clarify that I thought wandering villagers had a chance of spawning per player. I had no idea two could spawn for an individual.
Did you leave the area for a while? Maybe the first Wandering Trader ended up in an unloaded chunk (I don't think they auto-despawn when more than 128 blocks from any player like hostile mobs do) and thus the game didn't realize there was already one in the world when it spawned the second one? If the first one's unloaded chunk was just out of chunk-loading range, they might have still spawned fairly close to each other.

I can't recall if the first Trader spawned while I was away, but I know the second spawned when I was in the area and all the chunks were loaded. If I had to give a rough estimate, it only spawned about 4 or 5 chunks away from me.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
Wandering traders always spawn near the player, I was wondering if the second one spawned near you when you were in the rough area, but far enough away that the first one had been left behind in a lazy chunk or just out of chunk-rendering range.

According to the Wiki they should only spawn if there isn't one already in the world so it's probably a bug, it has been reported as a bug:
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-145598
It could be related to the excess iron golem spawning, some failure in counting how many there already are?
Or, if one of them has been around a while, perhaps it was marked as despawned but just never disapeared?
Just testing.
