"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein
Just as the quote states, if you do the same thing over and over again, and you expect different results, you will go insane, either with boredom or some other emotional reason. Basically, if are bored of Minecraft, try doing something new. Imagination is everything, especially in a game that allows you to access whatever material you need to quench that imagination.
Work on a redstone project? What do you want? You can do it. Make a castle, and make a minecart path from it to a harbor in the water, in a tunnel. Work, because you can.

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

You need to be like PaulSoaresJr, and just have something new to build or explore or find or kill, something to do, for every in-game day that you play. Maybe expand your house, or shorten trips across your local area with a Minecart rail. Build a watervator. Loot a stronghold. Just come up with something to do that's actually interesting.

It only gets boring when you have no goal. If you are just playing to survive then it is going to be very repetitive.
Id like to show you a video of my server (I am not trying to advertise). This is for showing some inspiration for you. I set the video so it is past the title screen and I just want you to take a moment to check out the interesting builds you yourself can do.
What I always like to say is: My world is your canvas to create your masterpieces. That means use the world to have fun trying out different build projects.
In my server, I think about different social aspects and activities for my players to do. I give them as well as encourage them to practice doing different building objectives. For example, We have an optional build quest system where we have more than 12 specific build objectives for players. This includes: creating a 10x10 tavern and decorating it, create a 6x6 water fountain, create a giant statue of yourself, create a beautiful 12x12 garden area with flowers, running water and some crops, create an igloo house. I give player
I also create events for players to do like the Sky Kingdom Blitz games where we partake in fun mini games and contests BESIDES spleef. One example is: You have a stack of logs, a stack of cobble. You get 30 minutes to create a nice house. Everyone builds.
We also do some fun creative projects like creating Airships in another world in creative mode. What I am currently doing is coming up with 40 airship ideas and give them a name and fictional purpose. One example is the SS Alexander- A royale airship that is decorated with goldblocks.
Minecraft is what you make of it and most of it is the drive of creativity you want. If you would like some kind of direction, motivation or inspiration I can help you out with some fun ideas to do!
You are wrong. Minecraft is not boring. You are bored because you are a boring person. Minecraft is popular, but that doesn't mean that everybody is able to enjoy it. I love Minecraft the same way I loved building Lego casttles when I was a kid. But most of my friends looked at me like if I was crazy when I told them that I spent the whole afternoon building a casttle instead of going outside to play football with them.
The same thing happens here. You are probably just one of the "football" guys who got caught by the fame of Minecraft, but you actually don't enjoy building. But that is your problem, and does not mean Minecraft is boring.
(Or maybe it is just that you are not playing well, and you are taking MC like a A-RPG, which it is not. It is a building game. Play as if it was a building game, and you won't be bored never again.)
Same here. I played so much lego as a kid but I had friends who played lego with me. And those friends today play MC with me sometimes. Have you ever considered playing MC with friends? It changes the MC experience by heaps!
I've played a few survival solo worlds, and after you get things settled, it can get pretty boring. Once you get your cows/chickens/wheat/potatoes growing you're set on food. If you build a mineshaft to condense all your mining endeavors, then you're basically set on the resources front. Build a relatively safe home that has a bed that's not near the walls so you're never near mobs, so you can always fast forward to daytime.
You basically just set yourself up for success.
If you're looking for a change of pace, think of all the things you normally do in-game and just try not to do them.
For me, I tend to build underground homes, with all my stuff underground and easily accessible (farms and such). I build a mineshaft so it's easy to get resources and stay alive since you can just close the tunnels off and keep everything well lit.
On my newest world (started it 2 days ago) I decided I'm not going to tear up the environment like I normally do, and will just build around it, or incorporate it into my home. I built a generic wood home to get myself started, and am living very carefully. My farms are all above ground, and instead of setting up optimal farms I did minimal digging and set everything up near the edges of water so I just use the environment. I placed my home near the entrance of a cave so that I had easy access to minerals, but not from within the comfort of my own home (essentially). It's a lot more fun so far. I've found a lot of coal and iron, but almost no diamonds because I'm not constantly mining at 11-16 like I normally do because of mineshafts. I'm all over the place because of actual cave exploration.
Try something like this and maybe you'll have fun again!
Yeah Minecraft has been getting boring-er Even though they're adding so many new additions, I still feel like im not accomplishing much im just doing the same thing over and over and over.
And sure you can mod the game but usually the mods that i want are always dead.
Minecraft gets boring when you make it boring What I mean is you could hunt and kill mobs for food, and maybe make your house nicer, or you could try to figure out how to make things while in survival, building a minecart rail from one base to another, etc. Trying to think of how to make your world more efficient and fun is always a good way to not get bored in my opinion.
I can totally real ate with you man, but what I'd reccomend doing is trying to automate some of your farms and stuff, also one thing that I really enjoy is going to the nether, getting a few hundred feet away from your portal, creating a new portal, going in it, and trying to get back home, just remember to bring a compass, and for an extra challenge don,t bring anything else, so that you have to punch trees again.

You do know it's called an opinion, right? Also, where are all of these assumptions coming from? Are you serious?

Now you're just making even more assumptions and telling this person how to play. One can play Mc as one wants to play it.
I can see what you are getting at because i get bored easily cause i have no one to play with. But i try making it fun by downloading maps but it gets boring at times so I don't stay on as much.
I never get bored with Minecraft, I only get annoyed when I lose my diamond stuff to lava or something like that. That's the only ever time I deleted a world out of rage.
If you do get bored, try challenges.

There's SO MUCH TO DO.
