Why I love this:
1: Gets people to know that box houses are not cool on my server.
2: That designing with blocks can be effective and awesome, not limiting.
3: Imagination is key!
4: Personality is the flair in a build.
5: Unless it's meant to be a box... Don't do that!
6: You've given me a better perspective on my builds. I've sometimes felt limited or overwhelmed with a project just because of the awesomeness of others. But now... I feel empowered.
7: It should clear up a lot of design problems with my friends... They feel the same way.
This is a beautifully written tutorial. It made me laugh. Really! Thanks for helping me turn my sorry excuse for a dwelling into a home that's no longer such an eyesore
Thank you so much BenJ! I learned alot. I like to have dark wood corners on the edges of my house and stone brick. it really compliments intself. But i learned alot about internal design! Im not very good at it! but now ill give it a try! thanks so much!

This will help me create something more than a 2 block tall box. <333
Me after this thread: ....I said nothing....
Endermen, they watch you watch them.....
I agree...
It does when you make something entirely out of it, but blocks usually look ugly if something is only made out of that.
It can still be good if used at some places on your home.
I recently saw this thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1306464-interesting-patterns-to-decorate-floors-ceilings-roads/
It's floor patterns. Maybe something to add to your guide? I think they look awesome.
