Question, not to derail, but how do you open a chest on top of another? i tried stacking mine like furnaces once I figured out you could and it wont let me open the chest on the bottom. any block I place above a chest prevents me from opening the chest actually.
It is meant to do that, chests have to have at least one block of space to open, gets annoying when trying to save space though.
What I've been looking for quite a while now , I keep quitting my worlds and giving up so easily and quickly , it's starting to make me disappointed at myself. I want to make one world and stick to it , so thanks for the suggestions ^^

Hmm.... I like this list. I'll have to incorporate some of these things into my cities. You could also add a monument or statue of some sort. Everyone wants to show off their wealth in a statue/fountain. :tongue.gif:
Orchard What is known to most Minecrafters as a "tree farm," this orchard is basically a large area filled systematically with trees that are a sizable length to chop down; after all, no one enjoys trying to take down trees with branches. You can decorate this and make it feel like a park, or you can go for an industrial feel, and make even rows and columns packed full of pure business.
It had a sweet format; both, in game and on the page.
Personally, I am more of the world than what I will create. Found a really great seed, lately. Can be found in the Seed topic. As always, I built a straw (3x3) straight up and down with a cobble for the ladders and walls. I like a little resources before I build out. Down first.

Building a straw made of stone and ladders since: March 2011. I is before E except after C unless it is weird.
Also, to help you continue with your world, automate EVERYTHING. Add secret entrances to everything, piston doors to everything, timer and automation to your wheat farm, etc. etc. There's even a BUD switch related wheat farm that lets you get like 75 Wheat per minute, and an automated tree farm.
Okay, so you don't need to protect your portal. By that logic you don't really NEED a house or shelter. You could just live nomadic. But that's not convenient.
So don't bother protecting your portal. Just hope a Ghast never decides to harass you while you're running from a group of zombie pigmen and need to get home quickly.
I don't run from the pigmen, or the ghasts. I man up and fight.
You should also add a Panic Room to it. Fit it with special storage, perhaps have automatic doors and escape routes.
I also have a control room in my house. Has buttons/levers that control all different things in my house, so I can, for example, lock my front door from my control room (which is also a panic room). I also have a Self-Destruct button which can be used to blow up the entire house :biggrin.gif:
I had one of those once. A button was rigged to blow up my house in the even of a zombie break-in. One day I decided to switch to a lever input instead, but I hit the button when I tried to break it.
Needless to say, I needed to build a new house afterwards.
BTW this WILL be on the list, which I'm editing as we speak.
the texture pack is gerudoku
EDIT: here is a wheat,pumpkin/melon farm and sugar cane farm :tongue.gif:

I added the Panic Room, Treasure Room, Mushroom house, and updated the description of a few other items, as well as adding screenshots.
