What is the definition of hard?
Okay, it really depends who you are. I feel like Minecraft is pretty easy. If you hate fighting hostile mobs or you are too sacred of them, they might think that Minecraft is hard. If people do not get the controls for Minecraft, they would say that Minecraft is hard. So, it preet much spends on your personality.

I sometimes play on hardcore and the only problem that I find is managing hunger, that's the only thing hard about it.
Minecraft_Noob:WAAAAAAAAH!A creeper blew me!
Everyone else on the server:SO?!?!Go back and get your items baby!
Minecraft_Noob has left the game.
Random person:call dibs on his stuff.:P
lol that happened on a server I was playing on one time
On Multiplayer, creepers are too hard when on hard difficulty. I don't want to have full health and die just because I couldn't see whats behind me.
Er... why does it make a difference on multiplayer? I haven't played singleplayer often enough to know, but I'm pretty sure creepers do the same damage either way...

Minecraft Single-player is stupidly easy, only in Multi-player does it begin to add twists and turns.Minecraft PvP and raiding has made the game into a more challanging game.
True, but it's usually not other players that kill the kinds of players I'm talking about (pvp is available but not incredibly popular on the server).
By the way, if you don't mind me asking, why did you leave us a while back? I'm trying to figure out how to improve player retention.

With every update Minecraft gets easier. For example, Enchantments just got wayyy easier in one of the recent snapshots.
Wait, you mean that's not just something they're doing to make testing the snapshot easier?!?
Good government...

Saying that MineCraft is "too hard" seems kind of silly to me.
With the difficulty settings (especially peaceful mode), it is hard for me to imagine it being too hard.
However, I can picture someone finding certain things too hard. For example, hardcore mode is definitely something that's too hard for some people. (I'm definitely included in that. Peaceful and easy difficulty are where I live. )
For some people, easy difficulty might even be too hard. That would require being very bad at fighting, though.
Some people do whine too much for their own good. In response to OP, I agree that someone complaining (and quite loudly) about simply being blown up by a creeper is ridiculous. When you play on a server, you either deal with that server's difficulty setting or you should get off of that server. However, I don't play SMP for a variety of reasons (such as wanting to stick with my mods and also not wanting to deal with griefers), so my perspective is completely from an SSP perspective.
As for it being too easy, well, there's an argument for that. For some people, I can picture even hard difficulty (or even hardcore mode) being too easy. The solution to that might well be to set personal challenges such as not using armor. That's just a thought that I have. I like how easy MineCraft tends to be since I play it just to relax. I can understand people who want a challenge would be frustrated by how easy this game is, though.

The source of my intention isn't really crime prevention; my intention is prevention of the lie! Yeah, welcome to the Scatman's world!
Maybe it's just because I lived with one at a point in my life, but I find the ego grinders that come on and say how minecraft is just too easy for them more annoying than the ones that say it's too hard.
That's not to say minecraft isn't easy, but any game is once you get the hang of it. Being that you never actually 'beat' minecraft, or put it down once you've gotten to a certain point (since it's not that kind of game to most people) the effect of slaying the same mobs over and over, as well as learning how not to put yourself in dangerous situations as you keep going into new worlds, adds to your mental pool of how to approach the challenges thrown at you by mobs, difficult terrain, unfriendly building conditions, resource starvation, etc. And since mobs never change, and there are only so many cave systems you can explore before you've seen them all, the repetitive nature further enlarges the problem that you're learning how to approach a game that really never throws anything 'new' at you in terms of challenges.
That said, I never thought mobs were supposed to make the game 'hard', or at least not be much more than an annoyance mechanism and a Darwin check. I've tried some plugins that have made mobs more aggressive and gave them new mechanics, but in the end, I found them even more drab than vanilla, because all I was doing was fighting mobs, and all they ever were was annoying, just on a higher level.
Let's face it. Fighting mobs in minecraft isn't that thrilling. (That might be loaded, but forgive me.) They take their place in the minecraft world as more of hazards than monsters. I think they fit that role rather well from a design perspective. Minecraft isn't really a beat 'em up game, but there are plenty of plugins that make it one. And if your server prefers this, then by all means, implement the plugin. But I think if you want to challenge yourself more on minecraft, you should try something like playing a server with an amplified world. It adds a ton of new challenges to the basic gameplay without copping out with mob volume/health/damage.
Minecraft is easy to learn and hard to master.. I have a very good understanding of the mechanics and hardly ever die on hard (only to very stupid, "I should know better" mistakes).
On the other hand, I know very little redstone and I consider that to be a very important and difficult part of the game.
It's hit and miss really. For me it always depends on the spawn I get when I start out, and from there it's all about having fun for me. I never think about it in terms of difficulty - for me it's a matter of if I'm having fun or not. And I always have fun playing the game, whether it be SSP or SMP. There are a lot of really easy games out there that are also very fun (such as Kirbys
Epic Yarn) and also very hard games that are fun (like Demon's Souls).
All I can say is that if you find the game too easy try and set limitations for yourself, such as only Iron Armor, no armor, only Apples, or play on Hardcore mode. The best thing about Minecraft (in my opinion) is that you can play however you want to play. So take advantage of that!
EDIT: I didn't realize how old it was either...could somebody do something about it?
it is hard for me when i was playing games on hypixel and my computer is slowing down while im playing a hypixel minigame. How can i stop slowing down my computer? should i have to disable the anti virus program or should i have to clean my computer
Guys i think im not gonna play minecraft im gonna play something diffrent until im 18 years old because im not smart enough to play this game. This game is much worst.
I find minecraft too hard. So im in a cave, I start mining and then a group of skeletons start shooting me and taking a quarter of my health with each hit! And I had Iron Armor on. I cant get any diamond items because I die every time. Yes, if I strip mine I can get diamonds, but this game is about exploring. Why would I want to just mine two blocks over and over If I can be in a cave to explore
