Back in 0.1.5 on a small multiplayer server, I found a derelict mining outpost that was seemingly deserted. It had a large entrance with a little wooden shack next to it full of furnaces. Some of the furnaces still had coal in them, while some still had iron in them. The entrance lead to a small surface cave that had a winding staircase into darkness, each stairway leading off to a shaft larger than the last. The shafts had to have been man made because they were perfectly rectangular, and abandoned mine shafts weren't naturally generated back in those days.
There were absolutely no torches in any of these shafts; come to think of it there were no torches at all. The whole mine was completely devoid of light, but I never heard the sounds of hostile mobs as I was going down there; never even encountered them. Since mobs spawn anywhere dark, there was plenty of ample space for them to run rampant, but the fact that there weren't any was extra spooky to me.
By the time I reached the bottom of the stairwell, a hallway lead to this incredibly large room supported by thick columns, with small little dirt barriers blocking smaller entrances. At the opposite end of this large room was a moderately sized hallway with multiple dead ends before leading down to bedrock. This was back before creative mode, so given how high the ceiling in that room was, whoever built that place must not have slept much.
The hallway lead to one final chamber, a massive room that seemed to expand on forever into the darkness, I literally did not see any walls except for the ones behind me. the ceiling was low to the floor, which was nothing but jagged bedrock formations, so it was picked clean of any precious ores. The only thing that stood out in this void of black was a small glowing block that was really far away. I run over to this thing, worried there were creepers hiding in the potholes, and it turns out to be jack-o-lantern with a sign attached to its face. The sign read in its exact words:
Abandon All Hope.
At the time I read it, one of those creepy cave noises played, and I IMMEDIATELY turned tail out of there! I was afraid creepers were going to start closing in on me from behind the columns or spiders were going to start pouring out from the doors, but they didn't. Somehow I made it back topside with no interference from any baddies..
I'm pretty sure the server was set to peaceful at the time I was on, so I was never in any danger. Of course I never knew that, so the whole experience was extremely unnerving; It's still a mystery to me what the story must have been behind that place.
Well, time to share some tidbits of my own. (Well, my friend's)
Anyhoo, One day my friend, playing SMP, walked into a side shackish portion of his house, which I can verify exists.
He noticed something out of place, a sign from his couch was broken, and placed on the floor. It said something along the lines of "DO NOT BREAK THIS", He thought it was a troll grief, and he broke it... broke it...broke it... broke it... After he broke it, his PC restarted, and his AV detected 3 infected files, all relating to his username, and account on his PC. Kind of creepy because it is a true story. He never lies or trolls at any time, nor have the need too. Basically that equates to that being a 100% true story in my eyes.

I seriously don't think I have ever read a creepier minecraft story that is true... Man, I was actually looking behind me a few times while reading this. O_o Lol, about the baddie part at the end, that's probably exactly what I would have thought was going to happen to. xD But when I read that it reminded me of the part in LOTR when they are running out of Moria and all the goblins close in on them. >.<

I wonder why Sonic isn't really as popular as it was in the early 2000's. Maybe it was and Sonic 06 that ruined the series' reputation. Well, it one of the most WORST games I've ever played.
BTW, I support this:
guys stop spamming i don't want this to get locked, by the way i have a story in pocket edition, so i had a world that was going pretty well ( i had multiple diamond tools, an almost finished nether reactor, and a wheat farm ) so i had just gotten back from mining and was mad that i found no gold or lapiz, so i went to prune my wheat farm, i noticed an extremely light patch of blocks and approach ( it was night time so i wondered what happened ) next to it is a wheat farm identical to my one that i had near my house and next to it is a 9 by 9 block whole in the ground that goes straight don BELOW BEDROK at this point i'm like O_O but i see gold near bedrock and the fear leaves my body, replaced by exitement , so i latter down halfway and fall below bedrock and get this, when i respawned... I STILL HAD MY STUFF weird right? others include, a tree growing out of wood and dirt in the nether ( in the whole were the update game blocks )
I had a world in pe and i decided to burn down the forest after a while... later i deeted the world and made a new one with a new seed and i spawned in the burning forest
I was playing on my survival world, when i found a bunch of diamonds. Then I went up to the surface and went into my house. The next few minecraft days were perfectly normal, turns out it was a graphical bug.
Omg Im so sorry Minor I know u said no more of this so to make it up to you I will now tell a TRUE story.
I was playing on my creative world and I saw in the corner of my screen the figure of a player jumping off my pixel art easter bunny. I looked over but it was gone. Realized I had set the world to LAN so my bro could come on, but there was no message that said anyone had joined, and when I asked him he said he didnt.
Could it have been a zombie? Or something more?
SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS!
I'm digging in the depths. It's quiet, with only the occasional faint bubbling of lava to break the silence. Then I hear a zombie.
I tunnel carefully, not wanting to stumble inadvertently into a dungeon. The noises get louder- so loud it seems I must be right in front of the monster. I break all the blocks around me, wanting so bad to kill this thing, end the noise- but I can't find it. It's there, though, smacking its lips and groaning ever on. It's aware of me and I'm aware of it, but never the twain shall meet.
This happens to me all the time, but the way you said it was so creepy, and I mean SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS level of creepy.
I was on my survival world, shearing sheep. All of a sudden I died, hearing only the faint echo of a laugh. As soon as I respawned, I went to collect my things, but the ground had opened where my things were. Determined to get back my equipment, I dove into the abyss. I landed in some water. I heard a sound, the sound that you hear when you are placing dirt. I looked up, and saw the hole being filled in. I tried to dig out, but I was in a stream of water and somehow got the slowness effect. Inch by inch, I was dragged into a hole by the stream of water. Turns out it was a graphical bug.
I love how almost everybody is making fun of that first guy. The best one though is "I placed a bed in 1.7. Turns out it was a graphical bug" Because beds actually have a graphical big in 1.7.2
My brother had built a house in one of his worlds. He deleted that world due to a creeper incident leaving his inventory destroyed. Later, he downloaded a village seed and built a house there. Later, he started walking and after AGES, he found his old house. he had deleted his previous world, and the house was identical in every last detail. O_O
Once I decided to download an adventure map, I have totally forgot the name of it and if anyone replies to this I'll tell you the name of it, I think i have it in my saves.
Anyway to the story, I'm playing this adventure map, and you have to get in a boat and travel across the ocean and follow the floating blocks that have torches on them. So that is what I did, and I came across the the town you have to do the quests in, and there was a strange man, wearing some sort of jacket, it looked leather, he looked so real and I was on my friends server, so i thought he must have been playing a trick on me, and at this point from following him, it got to midnight irl, and he only appeared in the dark parts of the screen, so i decided to give up and turn my laptop off... But he was still there! So at this point I'm thinking, so wait, graphical bug? (But this is NO joke) Maybe my laptops glitching or some shiz. I went back on my laptop after waking up at around 3.AM and the laptop was unplugged, with no battery, and the man was STILL there! I was so frustrated, that then I finally realized... I'm looking in the reflection of my screen...
Cool story but its fake. I stilll think its cool and creepy though!

So here is a thread where you post your creepy MC stories, (MUST BE 100% TRUE) unnatural buildings that you didn't build, or just other creepy and weird stuff in general!
My creepy story was a dream. I somehow got on a Skyblock thing, and I chopped down a tree with me fist. When I had chopped it down, Herobrine was behind it! I punched him off, but I was so scared, that I quit. Then I woke up.
One time I was in my strip mine, and a creeper got in and blew me to smithereens. Not scary? Obviously you've never experienced a creeper
