I always keep a pick in my first inventory slot, shovel in the second, axe in the third, sword and bow in 4 and 5, food building materials in the next 3, and my torches are always at the end.
-Even though I play on peaceful, I ALWAYS have to have a farm. They bring me great joy :biggrin.gif:
-I always have to have a workbench, planks, and coal/charcoal with me, or I feel unprepared.
-The first few slots on my hotbar are always organised the same: Tools, torches, "pillaring" block (Either dirt, cobble, or planks for making towers up to ores).
-I hate having ore blocks, ingots, gems/dusts, fuel, and dyes(non-building materials, really) in my hotbar.
-My houses always either have to be on their own private island, floating in the middle of a lake/ocean, or directly near water.
-I always have to have at least 4 double chests in my house, and then always have to have signs indicating whats in them.
-My furnaces, workbenches, and chests are always on the bottom floor of my houses.
I am pretty much ocd when it comes to minecraft; in my worlds I never have one home, I have specific buildings for everything. I also cannot stand redstone that shows. In my world you will never see any showing redstone for anything.
and the most weirdest thing........once i had two chickens living in my house clucky and tom-tom lol and i had an aquarium just under my house at the end of that aquarium is a door with pressure plates so supposedly and the investigation still goes on today they allegedly activated the pressure plate left then left the aquarium (into the water) later i searched for them then just outside the aquarium floating in the water was 2 raw chicken pieces and some feathers :sad.gif: so i held a burial for them and now on the side of my courtyard is a burial with a sign and torches beside it reading in loving memory of clucky and tom-tom ): the material put over their bodies was nether rock and i still morn for them today and i have a minute silence every time i go on mine craft next to their graves :sad.gif:
everyone please join me in memory of clucky and tom tom. ;(
I rarely ever keep much on me, just a bar of what I need most.
But my main strange habit is, when I'm sprinting/walking I hold the mouse down on the ground.
So it looks like I'm punching the ground, and because I like to hear the noise of what I'm walking on.
I was wondering if I am the only one who has strange Minecraft habits.
I ALWAYS play with bare hands.
I always try to keep my inventory empty .
I just build symmetric stuff :biggrin.gif:
I always use 1 or 2 chests for ALL my stuff.
In these chests I make sections, a farming section, cobble section etc :biggrin.gif:
Here is a example
On my main world(which I have since 1.1) I NEVER leave my base
I never let stacks with odd numbers be odd, i only like to have stack like 2-4-6-8-10-12 etc if i have a stack with F.eks: 7 i always remove 1 to get 6 :tongue.gif: I dont do it with Diamonds iron and that stuff, obly building materials. Also when i mine, i try not to mine more than a stack, (Except when i need more than a stack) F.eks: 64 iron, if i find more, i dont take more. I always keep my inv clean! from the hotbar i have: 1: Torches 2:Pickaxe 3:Shovel 4:Axe 5:sword 6: food 7 Building materials(except dirt, gravel etc) 8:Dirt, gravel etc(I sometimes put Buildingmaterials in here) 9:Bucket, scissors! I never like to use/collect Charcoal, other logs than the original one, dont cut big trees, i throw away tools with smal amount of life left, when i earn alot of avaluable stuff, i regular dont use them, it ends up with being there for ever (Mostly for smp) :tongue.gif:
If I need an item that is not in my hotbar I always replace it with the thing I most probably need next that is in my hotbar. Duh, a lot of switching around.

My habits:
-I always hold a torch. No idea why, i never go anywhere without one, even if it's just out to my farm. I will take the time to go down to my storage room, grab 1 torch, then go to my farm.
-I lite up every cave. It is pretty much impossible for me to leave an explored cave unlit, even though I can see clearly on my monitor in dark caves. It's not because of the chance for monsters to spawn, but just because it's unlit.
-I don't place blocks in lava unless needed, or convert lava rivers to obsidian. Again, no idea why. I have nothing against doing it. For some reason I would rather punch my way through the stone wall than place a block in lava.
-Avoid killing slimes. I need the slimeballs for pistons and alchemy, but i never like killing them. I prefer to let them die on their own. I even keep a cactus or two in my slime farm to kill them with, rather than attack them.
-Achievement Get! Item Hoarder! I never throw anything away. Ever. Even if it's just one piece of gravel, i will find the proper chest for it, rather than toss it down one of my many unused incinerators.
-I never leave any ores behind. I would rather climb up the side of a ravine with a lava pit in the bottom and risk losing all my ores to get that last piece of iron. :dry.gif:
-Squids must die. Kill them all, even if it means getting out of your boat mid-trip to kill a few!
Once I find an abandoned mineshaft, I CANNOT leave it alone until I've explored and charted every inch of it. In my current world, I have an underground rail system that spans nearly the entire map.
I'm ****ing crazy about minecart tracks. I build one for everywhere I need to go. Also, when I build a junction for connecting and splitting track systems, I always have to label what each track leads to. Which means that for underground caves, I usually give them a name for directional reference. I also categorize and name my track systems using harvard style hierarchal listing. For example, a sign might say "> Chasm IV: Section A: Track 2" or something like that.
I never carry less than 2 of whatever tool I'm currently using.
I use 1 double chest for a group of items, such as housing, ores, junk, farming etc...
I never throw away dirt; I usually use it to fill in the ocean for huge man-made flat zones.
I only play on survival because I like the challenge of gathering materials for building.
I plant all crops in greenhouses, except trees and sugarcane
I almost always play on peaceful because I want to sprint everywhere without worrying about stamina!
Finally, I get mad when creepers blow up away from me and I can't kill 'em myself
I pick every single red flower I see. I can't resist exploring a cave, even if I don't have the supplies to do it. I also love to build extensive roadways out of gravel and all of my bridges have to have supports regardless of how inconvenient they are to build.

Don't fear the creeper, yeah he's in your mine
Don't fear the creeper, happens all the time, don't fear the creeper
