This thread will be about firework designs I'm making.
The first one is called The Patriot. It's a New Years/Independence Day firework with a White Star, Red Large Ball and Blue Small Small Ball.
The Patriot
Pictures:
Crafting Star 1
Gunpowder + Rose Red + Fire Charge Star 2
Gunpowder + Bone Meal + Golden Nugget + Glowstone Star 3
Gunpowder + Lapis Lazuli + Diamond Rocket
Star 1 + Star 2 + Star 3 + Paper + Gunpowder + Gunpowder
This creates a crackling star with a blue ball in the center inside of a red ball. At first the points of the star protrude out of the red ball, but the ball expands around it. The white star crackles away and the blue star leaves a trail (to make the blue more visible inside of the red ball). The white star is a bit hard to make out in the picture, but at a distance, it is pretty clear to see. The rocket flies up to medium height before exploding (after a bit of testing, this seemed like the best distance. But one can adjust the distance between medium, high and low).
I followed up using an anvil to name it.
The Creeper King
Crafting Star 1
Gunpowder + Cactus Green + Wither Skeleton Head + Diamond + Glowstone Star 1
Star 1 + Lime Star 2
Gunpowder + Dandelion Yellow + Feather + Diamond + Glowstone Rocket
Star 1 + Star 2 + Star 2 + Star 2 + Star 2 + Star 2 + Star 2 + Star 2 + Paper + Gunpowder
To first describe the effect, this creates a well-defined creeper face with a mix of lime and green particles (to imitate the pattern of a creeper). This is because the trail uses the Fade To color, causing lime and green particles to be visible at once. Seven "crown" stars are used to define the crown better, using less, especially using one, makes the crown to transparent and undefined. Also, all 7 stars will orient themselves differently, making the crown come out into points. Unfortunately, this takes 8 diamonds. Without using the trail effect on the crown, it looks like a burst of yellow shooting from the head. The trail makes the lines stay constant, creating the image of an actual crown sitting on the creeper read. The glowstone is to make the image ultimately crackle away. The rocket fires only shortly off of the ground.
