It really depends on what I had when I died. If it's anything important, I usually give the world/game a rest for a few hours. If it's not, then I just ignore it and continue playing.

Just keep playing. I probably have plenty of stuff stashed away at home base, and there's always a chance to recollect what I lost. Besides, it's just a game.
I've only rage quitted after dieing in lava twice, but they weren't extremely bad, the worst only losing a plain diamond pickaxe while mining obsidian.

I always keep spare items in chests. When I die, I rush back home and gather the materials I need to remake my stuff.
i do the same except when i go mining i always have 2 ender chests and if i have only iron pickaxes i take five if stone take ten if gold take three and always have 4 stacks of wood and 2 buckets for infinite water source when i die like i didn't lose anything

need a private server to play on pro at redstone noob at surviving and a great miner i find diamond in the 5th day
Falling into lava isn't enough to kill me at this point, but I'd get upset for a bit, then go remake all my stuff because I honestly have the resources to do so pretty easily.
I saw the keepInventory option but I can't play with it on. The less of a risk the game presents to me the less interested I get in playing it. I also binned my first world after returning to the game and started over because I'd used creative mode to get myself out of an impossible-to-survive situation and doing so had killed my desire to continue for whatever reason.

I would also do /gamemode 1/c. Depends on what I had in my inventory.

I think I won't die in lava on my world at this point (i have op diamond armor).

I restore a backup. I have my MC saves folder on daily auto-backup.
Agreed. Only my most recent world has not included keepInventory.
So being that, I'd just respawn, dust my gear off, and continue on my merry way.

Delete the world, of course. Hardcore or nothing.
Get a little ticked but just respawn. S**t happens.
Doesn't bother me too much usually. I have never rage quitted from dying in lava... I feel like that's a little extreme.
I do have keep inventory on most of the time though, please do not judge me.
