It’ll be a compilation of a house in a mountain, a house on the ground, a treehouse, a house in the sky, a house on water, a house off the side of the mountain, and a house in the water.
Not nearly close to finished with mine yet. I actually just finished that glass dome two days ago. I've still got to finish the design for the doors of my base, and actually put them up, along with some supports for the dome to make it look less plain.

That glass dome idea is awesome, I have never thought about doing that! Time to go cook some sand... lol
This is my first house in Survival Mode. The land was built from scratch with the dirt and stone from an excavation project I'm doing now. The house is a little plain in comparison to some of what I've seen here, but I'm proud of it since I'm still pretty new at this. I'm still working on the outside and I'm currently trying get some grass to grow around it.
I built an annex for my house in the same style rather than adding rooms. This will be where my enchanting library and potion making stuff goes, and some storage.
You can see here where my furnace building is down on the right, it has underground storage in it. I like to separate stuff because I don't like clutter.
The pumpkin farm is going to be removed, the wheat farm is going to be incorporated into a hill a bit more. In the background is the mobspawner.
Fortunately you cannot see the tower of failure in the background. (**** poor attempt at a octagonal tower like the Aachen chapel)
I've been busy for weeks with my house, still not even nearly done with what I have in mind. I started out with a large house, several floors high.
But then I thought "Hmm.. I actually have a interesting water around my house... What if I build a big wall around it and make a whole village inside it?" So that was the plan. I gathered tons of cobble, stone and sandstone to construct a giant wall around my house. This is so far the result.
So far only two big towers and a small part of the village done. I'm planning to add a lot more in it like farmlands and a port.
The big wall
The 'main' gate with the first towers
View from the highest tower
Place where the future docks will be.
So far the design of the village. Small and tall houses with sandstone paths between them. Lotsa flowers
It's all made in survival mode. I've been to the End and killed the Dragon already. Mined a few stacks of diamond, several stacks of iron and gold. In total I gathered 18.000 stone and nearly 10.000 sandstone.

Nice houses everyone! Oh, and TheDutchIdiot what is your texture pack??
My design is really simple, but I am more concerned about function than aesthetic. It's not finished yet either I have at least two more stories to build and I need to finish the dungeon.

Have fun. That was over 3 double chests full of sand for a half sphere with a diameter of 100.
I'd like to add that I'm planning on an End-based colony thingy. I'll start in 1.3, where I can get ender eyes without killing endermen...

Wow, your house is epic to the highest degree.

Did I do Good? Worked on this (Survival) For about 3 weeks for perfection.
BTW, First Post.

The castle is around X:200 Z:650 and features chicken/Cow roasters, halfautomated wheat farms and more. Have fun !
On another note : I think I have to shamelessly copy some of your ideas, guys, some really awesome builds you have there !!
Just plain awesome.
The back. That's my melon farm to the left, and a well plus cactus garbage disposal to the right.
My little kitchen, with dispensers full of melon, some furnaces, and a shelf of cookbooks.
But wait! That wasn't a bookshelf, it was a painting hiding a secret passage to my workroom on the top floor!
Here's my melon farm.
My mostly undecorated living room. You can see my reed farm and chicken coop out that window.
My bedroom. Again, it's not yet been decorated.
Last but not least, the deck. It also is in dire need of decoration.
Everyone else's are so much better than mine. ;_;
