So basically im looking for something that's actually able to do, without a massive drain on resources. Like making diamond blocks or any of that sort of stuff
Here is some screenshots! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5r29pwmbhr6mycd/Pn_aW4Mh5n
First: Get rid of all that dirt and make everything stone bricks. Stone bricks are pretty good at resisting creeper explosions. Dirt and gravel will essentially disintegrate when there is an explosion.
Second: Replace all of your doors with iron and put pressure plates on the inside. Zombies can't break down iron doors. A pressure plate on the inside simply makes it easier for you to leave and the door will shut automatically once you do. Also, you can stand on the plate and the door will stay open in case you wanted to snipe something outside with a bow.
Third: I can't tell by these screenshots but basically some advice: Put your chests in a secure location that is close to the smelting room and give yourself a few more chests. As you gear up more and more you will collect more and more stuff and you'll be glad you made the room for more chests.
Fourth: Light light light light light. Make sure that every corner of every room floor to ceiling is very well lit. This is your best defense against mobs spawning on the inside of your base and killing you while you go to get some hot chocolate.

The dirt is in my hidden room. Everything is lit up and my outside door is iron. Pressure plate and button. I also just sleep through nights

p.s. if u made mutli i could help u a whole lot
Well for one, almost nothing is completed (alot of walls have dirt, alot of the floors are also random, theres patches of cobblestone everywhere, etc) also, I would say one thing you could do to make it alot better is to increase the size of your rooms and add different designs on the walls, roofs, floors, etc. Add support pillars, use different block combinations where they will look good, just mix it up a little bit
To spice it up a bit maybe add decorative pillars with either wood + fences at hte roof or netherbricks + netherbrick fences. It looks real nice and you can make even a small pokey room look nice.
I have something set up in my current world where I have a marge underground wheat and sugarcane farm in a single room with a set of decorative stairs going through the middle. I used fences alot not to separate stuff, but to make it look pretty. To find lots of fences/wood go caving for an abandoned mineshaft and strip it out. Much more fun than just running a tree farm and you get iron, coal, lapis, redstone, gold and diamonds to boot, not to mention rare seeds/enchanted books.
Also consider having some lava behind glass. It's totally different and can make walls a focal point, just be careful with wood/flamable stuff near them, it can sometimes get a bit crazy
Okay, I'm admitting I'm an Etho's fan, but what his builds look awesome. So, like a lot of the others have said, make all your walls stone bricks. But, make the ground grass. It looks nice in almost every biome except desert. Also, try to keep wall decorations either at least two high, or make them take up an entire segment of a wall. That way you'll be able to see the connection between the wall and floor, and still make it look nice. Hope this helps!
