Read the title. Mine was a witch. I was mining, when I got poisoned. I turned around and there was a witch waiting right there. I went ahead and slashed and stabbed at while nearby lava bubbled. I killed it and got a potion of healing!
Easy- Skeletons. I have always had trouble with them. I'm terrible at fighting them, and they really get on my nerves.
There was this one time, a while ago where I was mining near a massive pit of lava, and Skeleton came up to me and shot me straight into the lava pit... I learned my lesson that day... I am really bad at remembering to carry water buckets when I go mining, so that unfortunate event gave me a good slap in the face...
I voted skeletons as well. Creepers suck cause they can literally sneak up on your, and since I play with my sound turned down, it's impossible to hear when they hit the fuse.
My potentially worse encounter with skeletons was a skeleton trap that spawned right next to my base in the water. I wasn't very familiar with them and as I walked by, the skeletons spawned and started shooting me. I just barely managed to get around a support and up a ladder to safety.
Without question a Ghast. They've often spawned behind me quite close in the Nether and all I know of their presence is the launch of their first fireball. Had this happen a couple of times whilst standing on a one block out crop over lava, extending my Nether Minecart railway ...
Had lag / wasn't paying attention at the same time, had three creepers blow huge chunks in th foundation of my base that I had been spending days on ._.

~~ Try out Cultivate, the farming server. You just might love it!
I remember my first encounter with witches. I was distracted watching a bat (this was the day 1.4.2 came out, back when I didn't know what came out in updates) and a Witch poisoned me. I started panicking and ran away, only to die... to a skeleton.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

Creepers. I will answer the same every time this question is asked. The only thing that kills me in the Overworld is myself lol, usually by falling to my death. The most annoying mob is the creeper, they always creep up on me and blow chunks out of my bases/designs/creations
Ghasts always get me. I remember countless times playing on Multiplayer Survival servers, being in the Nether with a few of my friends, hearing one of those cries and being chilled to the skin. I think it's their screams and sudden attacks.
Though Witches are a pain in the butt. I suck at killing those things, so I just wait for them to despawn. Stupid Witches and their warty noses.
Oh, and baby Zombies. Those. Baby. Zombies.
I hate baby Zombies.
To kill witches, 3 arrows with a Power I bow does the trick for me
creepers. for some reason, I had a period of time where they kept appearing in my base. Took forever to figure out where they were coming from.
Turns out they were spawning in my enchanting room. I was going for atmosphere in there and have black walls and roof, only lit by redstone torches, so the light level is below 8.
Fixed it by getting one of my cats to stay in there.
Then, just now, I was mining. Broke through into a cave. SIX creepers standing right there. Barely survived that one.

Skeletons can be very difficult to battle sometimes. I have had instances where I was successfully dodging a skeleton's bombardment of arrows, but as I got closer the arrows became harder and harder to dodge which usually ends up in me taking an arrow to the face. This doesn't even include the break in my smooth flow of movements, and afterwards I end up just running at the skeleton head on to kill it. However, the annoying factor of these enemies goes up tremendously if they are seen bobbing in an ocean, a lake, or a river because they can't die during the day from the sun, and their ranged attacks makes swimming to them next to impossible. A good idea is to just leave swimming skeletons alone and let them despawn if you don't have a bow and some arrows on you because trying to attack them at close range makes death almost undeniable.

Skeletons. I can't say how many worlds I've deleted because of skeletons.

I know right? I hated witches before their sounds.

Wow! At least you survived! I still remember on that one server. I was fighting them with stone stools and leather armor...

Defintely Creepers. While I have never died to them, they have surprised me many times, usually being more of an annoyance than an actual threat.
I know. I've had countless creepers blow up and crack, melt, and dent my armor.
Please?
