I have a rather odd question, since this is a matter of personal taste. However, I am looking for a generic house design - something fairly square, classic looking house. It's something that shouldn't look too ugly and bland but on the other hand, too much variety isn't good too.
Basically, what I wish is a filler house. If I am making a village, I'd put lots of same or almost-same houses and let them have a room for basic storage, a bed and maybe few details here and there.
My only concern is the material - I am thinking about stone brick or wooden houses. Does anyone have an example of such house, much like a simple wood cabin but a bit bigger?
Took me all of 10 minutes to build this improvised generic house (though in creative..):
Switching materials would not be hard. Could use birch instead of oak, though I used oak because of support beams/fences. Cobble was just go-to and looks village-esque. That's easily switchable with stone brick or anything else.
That is a nice house, and rather "cheap" to build, which is cool.
However, what I'm looking for is just a bit different house. I really don't like the look of those fence supporters at all in Minecraft, but that's another story.
It's somewhat hard to specifically pinpont what I want to see, but I'll try. I KNOW I've seen a small, compact and easy to build house very similar to the one in Wood Cabin step-by-step tutorial somewhere here on forums. It's a very ordinary looking house with huge potential of expanding, meaning it can range from tiny, modest houses to huge mansion, all in almost the same shape and style. Ofcourse, I know you can't just find it for me so I was hoping for some pictures that resemble the description above.
I know it's confusing and demanding question I am asking, but it just won't leave my mind lol. I am 100% percent sure it's right there, a perfect, small stone brick/wooden house.

You'll get tons of hits to look through.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

Just a shaft to get started in the game, so you get to survive the dark nights.
