Was a thread about ages on here a week or so ago. Quit a few adults past their thirties and older.
Can't say I'm older than state I was born in (Oklahoma) but think I was oldest who answered that thread.
I was born on Thanksgiving day, November 25 1943, and that makes me a few months past 73 years old. Even a few years too old to be in the post-war Baby-Boomer grouping.

You got me beat by a bit more than a decade ... ... make that, a little under a decade and a half (just shy of 60 here).
In two months I will officially be a septuagenarian.
I only know of one or two members that are older than I am.
GeoFor, above, being one of them.

I'm 71 and still playing MC. But then, I've been a life-long gamer. I played Dungeons and Dragons when it was a 64-page booklet published as a fantasy supplement to the "Chain Mail" combat system.
I get a kick out of kids who think gaming is something new. In 1911 and 1913 H.G. Wells (yes, The Time Machine guy) wrote two books on battle simulation games. Little Wars and Floor Games. The full text of both books are available on project Gutenberg.

Yea, I find it funny how they think old people couldn't possibly know anything about games or be interested in them. When the inevitable a/s/l comes up in a server chat and I reply, the conversation turns to "OMG YOUR OLD!?!!1!" lol

Yeah, It takes one back. I recall playing the original 'Adventure' on an IBM mainframe in 1961. We had a D&D game on our first desktops at work in the 70s. Then just loved 'Zork' and 'Stationfall' and all the infocom adventures in the early 80s on C64. A PS1 and then a PS2 led into 'Disguya' ( Spelling?) and FFII and WoW .

I'm 54. My first experience of computer games was playing text adventures where you choose North, South, East or West, I think that was in the '80s, when we used floppy discs.
I mostly play MC on my own though, haven't really got into multiplayer.

Ahh yea, I forgot all those cool Infocom games on the C64. The Zork games were awesome. I also really like the Battletech games, though I suppose that's more in Westwood's corner than Infocom's. I loved my C64. Thank God for emulators so I can still play them all without having the archaic hardware taking up space or having to wait several minutes for a game to load lol. Was Disgaea any good? They made an anime out of it which I thought was interesting / funny. Never tried the game though.

Unless you can find a server populated by mature folks, trust me, you aren't missing anything lol. I ran a public server for a few years before I just got worn down by all the kids constantly carrying on. It was like 10% people aged 20+, 30% mid to late teens (some good, some not so good) and 60% pre-teen hellions lol.

I'm 50 this year, been playing computer games since i was 19-20, and Minecraft since 2012 (my current world is 4 ys old and just passed 9900 MC days) and I started with a Commodore Vic-20; I was saving to get a 64 next, but my dad told me they had the new Commodore 16 in Woolworth's on sale, so I ended up getting one; and basically ended up with a dead end computer as the 64 just went from strength to strength. It was funny to read that post mentioning the 64, as I've just been given a 64 by a work colleague who was clearing his loft. And I'm also in the running to get one of these when they are released: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-64-computer-and-handheld-console#/
Hello!
I am looking for a modded SMP to play on. I am probably older than everyone here, so there's that.
I have a wonderful vanilla SMP I am on but I am looking for a modded server to break up the monotony.
I don't mind playing with younger folks but was curious if there were any other old farts like me.

My birth certificate says, Territory of Hawaii, so I'm older than the state I was born in. How many people here can say that?

I'm forty two, but still just an overgrown kid as I like Minecraft and anime, lol.

I can't say I'm old myself but discovering the fact that there are people older than my country that still play Minecraft is mindblowing to me.

MrKite & Mc_Etlam ... I salute you!
55 here, just really started playing this year, when I broke my ankle. Now, I have a weekly "playdate" with my grandkids in Washington. It's a blast.
