Im trying to make a piston 7-segment display scoreboard in my world. I've tried different colors of wool but the numbers are hard to distinguish. Is there a block or lighting effect in vanilla texture that might work better. This is a survival world so I would prefer something fairly cheap.
Maybe you could make it a little bit more complex where each segment is 4-blocks instead of one. You're using 1 block per segment right?
I'm using two blocks per segment. I don like the look of one block per segment but I don't want it to be too big either. I think I'm starting to lean towards using redstone lamps. It would probably make things easier anyways. I wouldn't have to find slimes for sticky pistons.
Are you colorblind? Honest question. The bottom color and the top color. Yellow and purple.
It doesn't work like that.
You see, Macs, when you press ctrl-alt-command-8, allow you to view everything in negative colors. Yellow becomes navy blue, purple becomes lime green, etc. If I had pressed that button, the colors would have swapped. They didn't.
Besides. The opposite of red is cyan, not green.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
A seven segment display is similar to a digital clock where you can make any number 0-9 only using seven lines.

There's a rough drawing but its easier to just look it up on YouTube
Definately could do that but I like using pistons when I can. I might still do that if nothing works.

No, that's navy blue.
