Neither is gravel. Gravel is a BLOCK. And that doesn't explain golden hoe either :tongue.gif:
Gravel is an item.
By item I mean feature in the game, most likely what the OP meant as well.
Gravel is also a block: can be placed and is naturally in the game.
Gravel is an item when it is harvested and placed in your inventory.

Golden Hoe is an item.
"Gravel is an item when it is harvested and placed in your inventory" All blocks are useless then, because when placed, it is a block. In your inventory, nothing can do you good.
And OP meant: "what is the feature that has the least use to you."
Also, the golden hoe is depreciated, synonymous to useless :tongue.gif:
The point here is: you can't /thread when you want to make a statement... it was going fine :tongue.gif:
Then he must reword the title, for it is false and misleading.
EDIT:
Nyasia, that's the dictionary.
Care to argue? Contact them not me.
You are misinformed if you believe that it has a different meaning other than the one in the dictionary.
"False and Misleading." I fail to believe several pages of people were misled until you came along and enlightened them... <sigh>
Useless is 'lacking a use' in simplest terms. The bow lacks a use due to the gun. Caligraphy/hieroglyphics/Cuneiform lacks a use due to modern day writing, and the golden hoe lacks a use due to the introduction of the cobble one.
Ok, you can win, simply because I don't care too much anymore.
...
But the most useless item is still the misplaced glass block :smile.gif:
EDIT: lurn2spele, I do respect your angle, but try to make it seem as if everything is a challenge!
GUYS. USELESS.. MEANS NO USE.
Not something YOU don't like.
Gravel has a mutha****in use.
Gold has a mutha****in use.
Watches have a mutha****in use.
A saddle has a mutha****in use.
Wish for me to continue?
The only thing in Minecraft that doesn't have a use..
is nothing.
Why would Notch/Jeb spend their time adding an item that has no use?
Are you guys serious?
/topic
Correction on that, sponge really doesnt have a use till they took away the watchamacallit, absorbing ability. I mean, if u look at it, everything has a use (decoration wise at least) but its a opinion, which do u guys think is useless?Im almost regretting posting this, its causeing forum fights :dry.gif:
You can find a use for most anything ... but in all honesty I would say saddles ... they just end up accumulating in a forgotten chest somewhere in my worlds ... the novelty wore off quickly when I realised you couldn't control the pig ...
Gravel is good for flint, like you said, but it does have another very useful use: When you're going into caves, if there isn't a safe way down, you can quickly and easily build a stairway down out of gravel because it reacts to gravity.
If you ask me what's useless, I would have to say rotten flesh. The only thing it's good for is feeding wolves.
I've often used gravel for that very purpose. As for rotten flesh, I've used it to heal my wolves in my world1, but haven't needed very much of it, maybe around 1/4 stack or so. Now what I do with it is to either use the removedrops command when it is on the ground, or destroy it with that command or by setting in on fire or throwing it into lava
Facebook isn't a need but it has a use.
Communication, etc.
Decoration is a use.
Therefore mycelium is useful.
EDIT:
Leather has a use.
EDIT 2:
useful:
being of use or service; serving some purpose; advantageous, helpful, or of good effect: a useful member of society.
useless:
of no use; not serving the purpose or any purpose; unavailing or futile: It is useless to reason with him.

No, not necessarily. Useless can also mean of no need.

Except for the fact that you can't even get sponge without creative or mods, then yes you are right.
sponge a'int on survival.
and i think ... minecarts with furnaces.
Who says dictionaries are useful sources of info?
Plus, it CAN mean of no need.
Except to put it on your diamond block throne lit by glowstone and lava lamps with a beautiful temple with redstone security :wink.gif:

I do concur
