So, I started a new world. I went along as usual, built a tiny shack for my first night, then went along to find a more suitable place for a home in the morning. I started hearing skeletons. I guessed it was a cave or something, until some mossy cobble caught my eye. It was a skeleton dungeon, inside a hill completely visible from one side, the outside of that side covered in dirt. I ate some food, recovered my health and charged in, only with stone tools. I destroyed the spawner and killed the skeletons, and then moved in and made it my home XD Sadly, there was no chest in it.
So I was just wondering how rare things like this are.
(I hope this is the right section :tongue.gif:)
First of all, remember dungeons aren't that easy to find. And then there is only a ~1/64 chance that a block will appear on the surface level. So, that would be far more uncommon than a regular dungeon. I've seen a few, but still, it always surprises me.

There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary notation and those who don't.
I've encountered such a dungeon once. Only a few moss blocks were visible at the surface, but that made it pretty obvious what it was (and iirc there were also some obvious monster (spawning) noises).
It can happen, but it's just very unlikely. I've only seen it once or twice and I've been playing a long time.
In the future you shouldn't destroy spawners, since they can be made into item mills. You just cost yourself a free supply of infinite arrows and bones :sad.gif:
I once saw a picture of a dungeon which spawned in plain air above the ice. I asked the guy if I could have the seed, but he stated that this was on a private server and he wasn't the owner. The seed is still unknown.
I remember a seed which has seven surface dungeons and a village in close proximity, but I've forgotten it since.

EDIT:
I got a picture now.
This thread bores me.
The 1.7 seed "quesadila" spawns you right near two surface dungeons.

They need slime dungeons

All i remember is it was a zombie spawner.
Sire I inquire as I do with most, but do you mean to gloat? For is it truly such a tire to reply to the host with but a simple QUOTE?
