Hi everyone! Its been a few days since my last update. I was busy doing other things and also playing on a local minecraft server so i didnt have time to post an update, but now here it is
Day 9: Nether, blaze farm, and ocean monument
I have played for 8 days in this world, and i haven't done anything in the nether, so i guess today is a nice day to start a blaze farm.
But first, let me give you a basic view of my nether, as you can see this is a pretty good nether, as i encountered a fortress right when i stepped out of the portal. However, the blaze spawner is like 300 blocks away from this branch of the fortress
I went ahead and explored the fortress, looted some chests, and i have to say one thing, the loots were AWESOME : 9 diamonds, 3 iron horse armour, 16 gold ingots, enchanted book with smite III, other cool stuffs...
I was really focused on making the blaze farm, so i didnt take any screenshots, which is a shame
And here is our first blaze, ready to be killed
After getting to level 33 i decided to enchant some books (got nothing cool with those) and then made a long long railway to the spawner
At the time i finished the railway i have been playing 2 hours, but i decided to play a little bit more, so i went to the ocean, which is just about 1000 blocks away from my base, and started to find an ocean monument
It was surprisingly easy to find one(exact time = 6 minutes), and here it is.
I decided to build a nether portal on the island to the right
And something amazing happened: The nether side of this portal was in the tunnel to the blaze spawner, so now i can go to the monument through this portal.
So that's it for day 9 everyone, i hope you have enjoyed the journal, and if you have any suggestions on what i should do next, please tell me
Welcome back to my world! I havent been posting updates for the last 4 days, cause i thought it would be nice to finish this one big project then post an update, so here it is
Day 10&11: The Boss Fight!
Some of you guys may wonder why i dont wait until 1.9 is released then fight the dragon, but i have been playing minecraft since 1.6, killed the dragon multiple times, in SSP and SMP, and now i kinda miss the good old dragon fight, so i figured i would fight the old fight for one last time then maybe i will reset the end in 1.9 to fight the new fight.
First thing to do was of course locating the stronghold, which was pretty easy cause i had about 20 eyes of ender and i kept throwing them every 150 blocks or so, then when i reached 1000 blocks away from spawn i started to dig straight down, of course with Fire Resistance on me
This time i was very lucky cause i fell down to a corridor right near the portal room, so it didnt take long before i found it.
I spent some time exploring the stronghold, and i found a ravine intersecting with it
Then i went back to my base, prepared some supplies for my fight, i brought 2 sets of diamond armor, in case somehow i lost 1 set there will be an alternative set of armor. My best piece of armor were my boots, which had Protection IV and Unbreaking III, the other ones even got Depth Strider III. For swords i had a Sharpness IV and a Smite IV sword, which is never useful for fighting in the end because endermen are not classed as 'undead' mobs. I did bring some potion of regeneration, strength, and also fire resistance, but honestly didnt use most of them. This time i decided to fight using bed explosions, a method i have never tried before, but i thought it would be nice to utilize all possible weapons.
Something funny happened, when i was putting some snow into the chest , i wondered if i held shift and stood right above the portal block would i get sucked into it, so i tried it and no, i was not sucked into the portal, but then i accidentally released the shift button and fell straight to the end. At the time i was only carrying some snow, a shovel, some obsidians to make a bridge to the island, but i didnt give up and just jumped into the void. I started to make a bridge to the island, luckily the dragon was not there to knock me off. Here is a screenshot when i arrived at the island
I started to throw snowballs at the 5 Ender Crystals, and believe it or not, i was able to kill all of them using only 2 stacks of snowballs.
Then the dragon knocked me off the island, i respawned at the stronghold, grabbed my stuffs, and did the real fight.
So here i was having some fun with the dragon, i did one bed explosion and it took away 1/5 of the dragon's health, and burned multiple endermen.
The fight went on pretty smoothly from that point, i was bored of running after the dragon so i messed around with the endermen, did some stupid stuffs like trying to lead them to fire or water and killed a bunch of them for pearls. I got one more explosion on the dragon, and its health was getting low, so decided to lead him to the edge of the island and kill him there, just so i can transfer the pearls from my future endermen farm to the overworld more easily and also to get in and out of the end quickly.
Yes,yes, yes, i got him! Right near to the edge of the island, i didnt know why i was going for another bed explosion, cause my bow could definitely finish him.
Ok now i really hate myself for not using my wonderful bow, some XP orbs fell down and burned in the flame from the explosion , so in the end i got only 48 levels, well well... it was not so bad maybe, cause with 48 levels i could enchant over 6 items.
The portal spawned a little bit high from the surface however, so i guess i would have to make an item elevator if i want to transfer the pearls through the portal
And finally, i had my very own Dragon Egg , yay!
Well thats the end of my dragon fight everyone, i really hope you guys have enjoyed it, and stay tuned for more updates.
Hi everyone i am working on some farms at the time, no updates yet, but i just want to say that school is starting in my country, and that means i have less time to play minecraft, that also means updates will be less frequent than it used to be. I am sorry for that, but i am sure i am going to post at least 2 updates per week, so just stay tuned for the next one ! :-D
Hi everyone, school started earlier this week, and i met old friends there, hung out with them, also played on a SMP server, so i didnt have time for my SSP world. But now thats all gone, lets get back to my world!
Day 12: More farms!
The first farm i built was this pumpkin tower, which had 8 floors in total. I set up a hopper timer so that it would automatically harvest every 30 seconds, and so far i have got about 6 stacks of pumpkins from it. Pretty nice right?
Next i built a small automatic chicken farm, designed by xisumavoid, which worked fine but i havent got many chicken to put into the farm so its not so efficient.
The final farm for today is a big one - the cactus farm. In my other survival world i got a really big farm, and i ended up not having enough storage for the cactus,so this time i wouldnt build something that big and produces such an excessive amount of cactus.
Here is a screenshot taken while i was collecting some sand, i definitely was not going to use all those sand for the farm, but i wanted to decorate it with sandstone.
Now to the most tedious part of the build - mining out the room...
I decided that i would make mine out a 17x17x7 room, but i was bored already, so i brought some tnt to the farm and had some fun with them
Here is the first layer of sand
Then i just went on and put the cactus in, very tedious process so i wouldnt show it to you guys. I found that vines can not hold sand blocks above ground any more, so instead i just put a sandstone block in between the layers.
And... I am done with the cactus placement, the farm worked pretty well and had produced 3 stacks of cactus by the time i took this screenshot. As you can see, the cactus will drop down to the water stream, get pushed into a line of hopper, which collects them and send them to an item elevator, which takes them up and drops them down to the storage area. After completing the system i went ahead and decorated the farm, and here is the result
I also made a vine farm on the opposite wall, just because i didnt know what farms i was going to make over there.
So that was day 12 in my world, i hope you have enjoyed it, and stay tuned for the next update
Hi guys today i would like to post a small update to my world, because i didnt have time to play for a long time so this update is going to be relatively short, but check it out anyways!
Day 13: Starting the town!
The first thing to build in my town are some animal pens, i am not sure if i would be farming cows this way or make an automatic farm, but i think i would just manually shear the sheep.
Then i went ahead an build the first house in town, i decided to stay with the medieval style, and built this small house here
I
I used red glass panes for windows just so that it would kinda maintain the red theme, and it turned out great in my opinion.
I tried to add as much details as possible, but overcrowding the details though.
Here is another screenshot from behind
I also built a pathway from the base entrance to the house, i decided to use andesite, moss stone, cracked and normal stone bricks and cobblestones, and i think it looks ok
Unfortunately, thats all i got for you guys, like i said i didnt have time to play much.
Oh and i have a question, i am going to build an iron titan, and i am wondering if i could use some spruce doors for houses near it, or will the game detect the spruce door as village doors as well?
Spruce doors still act as normal doors so the game would probably detect it as a village door. I don't really know much about house requirements but I would advise not to use wooden doors near an iron farm to ensure a fixed design.
I think you would be safe if you used iron doors instead. Villagers don't count them as doors anyway.

I like your builds. You are right about chicken cookers being un-efficient, because I left mine running for about 5 1/2 hours one day and when I came back I had gotten less than 1.5 stacks of cooked chicken from it.

Just a small update guys, i have been really busy last week so i couldnt post any updates, right now i am working on a very big one that would take much time so hopefully i can post the update tomorrow. I am very sorry i havent been posting updates frequently as i promised, i do hope you can understand that school pretty much eats up all my time, and besides that i have other activities. Anyways another update is coming tomorrow, i promise
It's cool man. When I was still in my last year in college, I couldn't even play minecraft. It took me a month to post an update once. Instead of having a schedule for posting updates, I decided to update my own thread in my most comfortable time.
Just remember, no ones forcing you to update daily. You are the master of your own world after all.

Right from day 5 in this world, i have found a high extreme hills biome and made an ice farm there, and thats where i got most of my ice. However, i wasnt able to link it to the nether( the nether side portal always links to some weird portals in a cave instead of my portal :[) and so i basically i had to walk over 1500 blocks to the biome just to get some ice, and i am TIRED of all that sprinting, thats why i decided that i am going to make a long railway connecting my base area to the biome.
I went ahead and collected some iron(not some really , it was about 10 stacks of iron), crafted rails, powered rails, and immediately started to build the railway.
A screenshot when i was building the first hundred blocks
Another screenshot when the railway reached 800 blocks long
I came across a pretty cool mountain on my way
Oops accidentally released shift I died right when it started to get dark, which is not a very good thing
And... stage 1 is done, then i had to extend the width of the railway to 3 blocks wide. I was so stupid when i decided to build the railway at the level of the ice farm, now its very high up above and i have to use ladders to get up
Stage 2 is done and here are some screenshots of me riding the on it for the first time ever
Ok its been 4 hours making this 1600 blocks long railway, and i am very tired now, so to end today's episode i will show you a third person screenshot of me having fun on my railway
Day 15: Slime farm!
So far i havent used many slime balls in my world, but i think future projects would consume a lot of them, so its always nice to have loads of them ready for use now.
My slime farm will just be a basic one, with 3 spawn platforms and a drowning trap.
I started locating a slime chunk using Chunkbase slime chunk finder, and it didnt take me long to find one near my base.
I decided that i would start the farm at y=35 and go all the way down. Each spawn platforms would be a 16x16 square of grass blocks. Yes, i am using grass blocks for this farm, just because i think grass texture looks nice next to jack o' lanterns.
With the design in mind, i started digging out the room, so far this has been the project that involved most digging out.
And... after 1 hour of tedious digging, the room has finally come into shape, then i built the spawn platforms, and here is the result
You may see another room to the left of the image, well thats just silly me mining out the wrong chunk
Here is the water killing chamber, all slimes that fall down onto the water stream will be taken to this chamber , get drowned, drop slime balls, which will be collected by the hoppers and sent to and item elevator that delivers them up to the surface. Nice and easy
Up to now the farm has produced about 15 stacks of slimeballs, sweet!
So thats all i have been doing lately, hope you enjoyed it. My next big project is the iron titan, which i think will eat up most of my time this week, so hopefully i can post it by next tuesday or so.
One weird thing i found is that after i built the slime farm, fps started to decrease, for the first time in this world, my framerate has gone down to less than 25fps, so i am pretty worried about that. Why does this happen everybody? Is it because of the farm and the fact that its in the spawn chunks?
Hello everyone, i am back! Its been over a weeks since my last update, finally have some more time to play now, so lets continue our world!
Day 16: Wither fight!
You might have guessed what we would be doing in this update by the title, but before getting to the main event, i would like to post some updates on the iron titan
I started the project last sunday and sure i was really excited. I followed tango's tutorial and things went on pretty smoothly.t I have to admit that i didnt quite enjoy building the whole structure, because... if you have been following my journal, you would know that i never like mining and building big functional buildings with bad appearance.
One stupid mistake i made was that i built the farm right near the town, so the landscape is pretty much screwed now . For transferring the villagers vertically i basically built a tube going right up the holding cell and then have water push them there, sounds very straight forward but in fact it was a very very tiring process to transfer them, cause sometimes some villagers would get stuck or a zombie would randomly spawn and target the villagers. Some screenshots will be in the attachments because my photobucket account is having problems so i cant log in to upload them.
As i was putting the finishing touches on stage one of the door placement(which was extremely time consuming), i went to the nether to collect some stuffs that i left in some chests, but i soon realized it was my WORST decision ever! The spawn chunks got unloaded when i went to the nether cause sadly, there werent enough items in the dispenser that keeps the chunk loaded. So when i headed back to the overworld everything was broken, the villages merged and now i have a terribly inefficient iron farm.
I was so frustrated that i decided to put the titan project on hold and do something else, and after a while i decided to do a wither fight. Without any advanced wither farms, the only way i could get skulls was to hunt for them, so i grabbed some fire resistance and strength potions , put my diamond armor, and jumped straight to the nether with my sharpness IV looting III sword.
After an hour of hunting, i got enough coal to smelt all my cobblestones, enough bones to grow all my saplings, and most importantly 3 wither skulls.
And so the fight began! I chose to fight the wither in a branch of my mineshaft, just so if i ever die i can quickly get to my death location .There was nothing much about the fight however, cause i literally killed the wither in less than 15 seconds with my smite V sword, strength II, regeneration II potions and my best set of armor. Killing withers is like a casual thing to do nowadays i guess!
So i think we can call it a day now guys, really sorry for not posting updates recently, but i am still here guys, so please stay tuned for the next update
I love this journal! Have a cookie for your good work!
I love the skull decoration part of the brewing room! And the whole thing looks great. Would love to see your future projects!

That is a very nice house btw, not small at all I'd say.

Hi everyone, its time to get back to my world!
Day 14: The great railway
