I would rather use magma blocks for air, but I understand your choice with ocean monuments. Otherwise I agree. I don't use slow falling potions though because phantoms are annoying to kill. I just pack lightly for the End, bring lots of blocks to bridge on, and an ender chest with actual gear.
Magma blocks, soul sand, makes no difference when you're inside a building, where the ceiling would prevent you from being pushed to the surface.
and outside the ocean monument you could use the bubble columns to fast track you to the surface, getting you out of harms way.
The problem with magma blocks is they can damage your armour, if your boots don't have frost walker.
I agree with the light packing comment, ender chests would be my ideal storage method in End.
Soul speed boots are something you practically need in the nether.I would personally ALWAYS carry an enderchest with me,Overworld,Nether,or End.Respawn anchors are good for the Nether, and so are enderpearls. In the Overworld,It's good to carry around a bed and a Loyalty 1 trident. In the nether and end,an Infinity 1 bow.
I see your point, but shulker boxes would be more than enough to bring your loot from Overworld mines to your base.
I suppose you use Ender Chests to protect items in case you die on your way back though.
I would strongly recommend having a food, potion, or totem of undying in your hotbar at all times.
Don't need potions, would only have a totem there if doing a raid (Hate those vexes), food is fine where it is. Contrary to what some might think, I tend not to die frequently.

It also depends on how they play, though you'd think with my playstyle, constantly fighting mobs, especially in modded worlds which increase mobs and strength, even on Normal difficulty (in fact, many factors like the chances of weapons and armor are higher than they are on hard in vanilla) I'd die a lot but that is far from the case, even without shields, totems, or potions (two of these don't even exist in 1.6.4, there is sword blocking but it only blocks 50% of damage). In fact, I never died at all in TMCWv4 over 39 days of playtime and 88,000 mobs killed, nearly all naturally spawned hostile mobs, with enough damage taken to die 9,500 times over (however, this averages only 2.14 per mob, e.g. less than one hit per zombie, which deal 3 damage on Normal plus any additional damage from weapons; by contrast, I dealt at least 19 damage per mob, which only includes melee damage; e.g. zombies require at least 21.74 damage, plus any armor), and the last time I died at all was about 2 years ago and even that could have been avoided if I'd just placed my water bucket to wash away a massive horde of zombies:
Similarly, I've died only 12 times in my first world, with the last death years ago (I actually died more since 1.5 had a bug that prevented deaths from being recorded); in this case I averaged only 1.7 damage taken per mob and dealt 24.8 damage per mob (this is much higher since vanilla 1.6.4 will counts the total damage dealt per hit even if it is more than the remaining health of the mob; e.g. killing a mob with 1 health with a Sharpness V diamond sword counts as 14.3 (rounded up from 14.25) damage, while in TMCW it only counts as 1 damage unless it has armor):
That said, I do use Fire Resistance potions in the Nether, simply because you can't use water buckets to put yourself out, or better yet, convert exposed lava into obsidian before it can even pose an imminent threat (I'm always surprised at how many players explore lava-filled caves without doing this, even preferring to mine around or bridge across lava lakes. If it is to preserve "valuable" lava which can be used for other things, like fuel, there is way more lava than what is visible on layer 10; my first world has over a million obsidian, mostly due to me pouring water on lava, but it still has over 12 million lava left).
Otherwise, my hotbar/inventory are still the same as they were the last time I posted 4 years ago:
This is my "empty" inventory, with all slots filled so I only pick up what I want:
This is what it may look like between emptyings while caving:
You're not bad at the game for using potions, it just depends on the purpose
not many people would last long in a fight against the Wither without them, especially not without the golden apple also.
In the Nether if you use fire resistance potions you're taking precautions to an obvious hazard.
I just choose not to use them most of the time because they take up so much inventory space, and they get in the way of general mining, I like to fill my inventory to the brim with goods before coming out. And I feel in the Overworld potions are overkill most of the time.

Yeah, they’re only really worth it in the nether or in a wither fight. Also slow falling is helpful in an ender dragon fight.
I'm just sensible. I don't so servers - so no pvp, only pve. I use my shield and have started to use my axe more latetly rather than the shield. I've a good, bow, crossbor and trident if I run out of arrows, full nethertite gear. I block with a shield and am sensible with my food intake. So you're good at the game, in other words lol.
We all make dumb mistakes, that's why I don't like hardcore mode.
We all make dumb mistakes, that's why I don't like hardcore mode.
I don't do hardcore mode because I don't want those mistakes spoiling everyone's work on the server I play on.
It would mean we wasted our time
and it leaves no freedom to do PVP arena battle sessions and still keeping our builds and stored loot.
My server is PVE, but in the future we do plan to hold some duels in arenas we intend to build.
If it were hardcore mode which doesn't even exist on bedrock edition, just doing that would be enough to permanently end someone's adventure on the world.
My only death on the current world I'm on so far was from riptiding with a trident whilst it was raining.
it cost me a netherite hoe and some XP, but that's about it really.
Came close to death a few other times while fighting Witches, but used a lit up tunnel to recover in the safety away from monsters.

How does a trident getting jammed in the ground result in you getting killed?
Does riptide throw you into the soil violently as if you crashed an elytra?
Not the trident, the netherite hoe, that is what phased through the ground and disappeared, its a bug on bedrock edition that can happen to people who drop items. That happened to me after dying from falling onto the ground below when attempting to land on a jungle tree while it was raining.
Nothing I could do about it, but it doesn't matter, I crafted a new one and have more enchantments on it.

I see, so you just flew too high, I was asking what exactly killed you.

Also congrats on your Serious Dedication.
Thanks, some people do underestimate the usefulness of hoes, they let you quickly dismantle leaves on trees and netherwart blocks on stems of trees in the nether. The Nether update helped with making hoes more relevant because of this feature, farming shroomlights is better with hoes.
It's one of the things I've been carrying in my hotbar frequently lately, only problem is technically you don't need a netherite hoe to do all this.
You make it immune to lava and fire, I know, but stone hoes are easy to replace and there's almost no benefit to it, I just make netherite hoes because I find them fun to carry around.

I understand, they look a bit like scythes and quite cool, but are ineffective weapons.

How?...
Because it got jammed in the ground, me and a friend were both in the same location when it happened
bedrock edition is known to be more buggy than Java edition, if it were on the surface I would've seen it with all my other equipment,
it wasn't even on top of a hill, so it would have been seen easily by either one of us.
The fact it wasn't means the same thing happened to me as what happened to lizking10152011's friend on a different world.
And that's why I've been extra careful to not die since then,
and when I do duels in stadiums with friends later on after we build them,
I'm only taking renewable items, no netherite items.
How does a trident getting jammed in the ground result in you getting killed?
Does riptide throw you into the soil violently as if you crashed an elytra?
Slot 1 - Usually a pickaxe, axe, or any other tool I need.
Slot 2 - Another tool.
Slot 3 - Sword.
Slot 4-5 - 2 stacks of food.
Slot 6-7 Torches.
Slot 8 - Potions or other misc items I may need.
Slot 9 - Bow.
Offhand - Shield or torches.

Yup, well it's also because I like farming. On the current world I flattened terrain specifically for the purposes of crop fields.
Other people have grown to appreciate hoes in the game because they do so many things, food for you and animals,
and they (hay-bales) can be used with noteblocks to play the banjo sound, which admittedly I haven't mastered yet, I'm thinking how to make a cool
song with it though.
