My simple huts that have walkways connecting them. Also, tunnels and water elavators. They are kidna ugly, but i never live in them anyways (Multiplayer)
Single player i just make cool caves in mountains. Like, they have veiwing windows and are pretty long.
I typically do simple houses with only what I need. On occasion I make a unique house, like my underground base I'm making now.

Wait a minute, wait a minute? That is java? That means, umm, I have known java for over a year, and thought I didn't! Too bad I screwed up my computer so bad I can't uninstall JDK to install a working form... (I removed certain files manually and am to lazy to fake them back into the computer to get uninstaller to actually uninstall it...)
I don't really have a set style. I seem to change it based on a recent inspiration. Although I tend use varring styles in my RPG world to make it feel varied. When I run out of inspiration I just watch a timelapse or such for ideas, then copy and make to my peronal taste.
Building doesn't apply just to beta, classic, and beta both have potential, so I will post classic shots, even though this is in the Beta - Survival section.
In regards to the question at hand, I do think I have developed some sort of style of m own.
Yeah, I build plain looking box towers compulsively. I need to get out of the habit, but they're so convenient for shooting mobs from safety (and checking the area for creepers before I leave the house in the morning).
It's a cube, with another cube, and another cube and another cube. Those are my rooms, then I have 2 walkways. One to a greenhouse fully enclosed with glass, sometimes with a tree farm, sometimes without. The other goes to a mineshaft, which I dig to bedrock, if there are no connecting caves I cover it an move on to the next one. I LOVE GLASS CEILINGS!
I like to get halfway through building something amazing, then through fear of ruining it, I stop. Then I get bored with the world. Then I delete it. Then I stop playing Minecraft for 2 weeks. Then I feel inspired and make a new world. Repeat.

No you didn't, because TNT damage doesn't stack.
See my About Me section for info about me.
I go out of my way to avoid using a single type of block for a surface. For a wood wall I'll use logs for the bottom layer and then planks for the rest. If i'm making a wood floor I'll do the entire floor in planks and then go back and remove random blocks and replace them with logs. Things like that give the appearance of depth without actually making the structure more complex.
I've made more hatches for decorative reasons then I have made for useful reasons.
Smooth stone is my least favorite building material and I only use it to accent cobblestone structures.

this is my favorite style of building
By the way, if you ever need help with circles, use Paint. When you zoom in to a circle, the pixels represent a floor plan. :tongue.gif:
I call it building with 'style'
P.S. That is world gen

The only type of thing that I sometimes directly copy/paste is some redstone circuits. No way to get around some of those! XD
