i am playing modded survival, and i have the head crumbs mod with lycanites mobs, so i have lots of different mob heads to collect. I have already collected two, so i need to make the trophy room for these heads. I have no quartz to work with and a stack or so of stone bricks. I have not been to the nether yet, so i cant use those. I also want to sort the room into the different types of mobs, like water or demon. If you know about lycanites mobs, you know that there are tons of them with different types. anyways, as i said, i want it sorted and big enough to fit all of the 67 heads, plus heads of all the vanila mobs, and all the better dungeons trophies and twilight forests trophies, and even the reward from the aethers bosses. so with that amount of trophies, you can expect the size to pretty big. any ideas?

I'm back from my hibernation. Most likely gone so don't pm me.
Maybe a gallery style space, large white walls (ideally quartz walls, but as you say you haven't been to the nether yet ... just go and get some quartz, the nether's not that scary as long as you don't wander around in Nether Fortresses). Spaced out so that you can stand and admire each one individually. I'd go for a birch wood floor too, to make the space very bright, maybe a carpet with underfloor lighting away from the walls so there aren't obvious light sources everywhere.
An alternative could be a science lab style, heads in Glass Jars made out of glass panes, could even use coloured glass (blue/green), different colours for different classifications of mob?
If you have heaps of sandstone (or access to it), you could make a tomb themed display (pyramid, or other desert temple type arrangement)
Place them on pikes ringing your castle wall. Become known as Squadify the Impaler!
Could also create a trophy graveyard, where each tombstone gets topped with a mob head and perhaps you could bury a nametagged example (or just random zombies and skeletons) to add ambient sounds. To really scare the pants off other players, bury zombies in door cages so that they loudly bang on the doors (won't really work if you play on hard mode, however, as they'll eventually break the door).
If you want more of a show-off vibe than a warding vibe, try building stylized trees on the walls. A center trunk made of wood, with leaf "branches" meandering off to various blocks where you want the heads to be showcased. The heads could be placed in the small spaces in the tree, or they could be placed on the front side of the leaf block.
Could also just make one giant "tree of life" tree, with leafy platforms holding small walls with all the heads of a particular group hung there (like little map walls, but with mob heads instead of maps in frames).
If (viewing) space is limited, perhaps do a grid of display cases with the heads sitting there as items instead of blocks on the wall. You could have a panel of buttons to select which group to view and perhaps you could even get the redstone set up so that they cycle automatically after a certain amount of time.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
none. they are heads, so they would go on the wall. without an item frame.

Up to you, I'm sure you'll think of something.
