I was just getting ready to go back home from caving, since both my enderchest and my inventory was almost full. I had almost a stack of diamonds, stacks of iron (which was the reason why i went caving in the first place - was running low on iron), coal took up half my inventory, stacks of redstome. and half a stack of lapis and about a stack of gold.
there was a hole in the ground that i walked right into that led directly down to lava, i thought i would survive because of my armor, but it turns out i only brought my feather falling boots lol.
so yeah, basically hours of caving gone to waste, this happened just a couple minutes ago too actually, haha. would love to hear your experiences.
Finally found diamonds in a Hardcore World. Tiny slime baby pushes me into a ravine. The last noises I hear of the world is my knees crunching with the slime doing his slappy little laugh.
Got an Important Block for a CTM. I die. I brought all the blocks with me. Lucky me, I had placed one on my way, so I got it back.

My avatar-Madison Gotha. She knows various weapons, she's a mage/sage, and is somewhat immortal. Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. Doesn't really like being called an elf and hates being called human..
I might be Moderator, but don't bother treating me too special. And don't make tons of Ban Hammer jokes, please. Also, I'm an Off-Topic only Mod. Don't ask me to lock a thread or something if it's not in the off-topic

Slimes have done this to me before too. Slimey little ones are the worst, with their hopping about and that smug slime-slapping sound
Mine was a nether lava episode:
Spent a couple of hours farming for XP in the nether, finally get to level 50 (wanted to do a whole lot of enchanting in one hit)... fall from a ledge into lava on the way back to the portal... sure I lost a few stacks of gold nuggets, but losing the xp was the worst

"It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?"
My most inconvenient death I made was around when I first started playing Minecraft, I was exploring the ocean in a boat just outside of view of my island, I had just acquired my first set diamond gear. After a while I decided to fish, then a few minutes later I ran out of food and my hunger bar was empty. I began to race back to my island, I saw a pig and I thought I'd get back fast enough to kill and eat him. And just as I reached the shore I died, I wasn't too mad because I thought I could get my stuff back because the shore is usually pretty shallow. Boy, was I wrong once I arrived at the location were I died I looked down at the shore and there was a ravine and all my stuff fell in and it was completely full of water. When I tried to swim down I drowned. By the time I decide to build a tunnel to get down there all my stuff disappeared. Now I always carry at least two stack of food with me.

Yesterday I died in the nether and right at the moment my computer decided to flip out over the event in such an extreme matter it crashed, I rebooted finding my sound driver broken and tried to load my corrupt Minecraft save, that didnt go well so I tried loading a backup, those were gone...
My most inconvenient experience of dieing is once i jumped into the end portal with items that took me WEEKS to gather, and I waited for the end chunks to load in, but they wouldn't. Then I re-logged and it glitched out thinking I fell off the edge and I fell into the void and died with all of my stuff!! I was really disappointed once I lost my stuff.
Honestly, I think it was just lag from my computer, but I don't know.
I finally got 3 wither skulls which took about 3 real life days to get, anyways I finally get back to the over world and dug down and create a room to spawn the wither in, so I beat the wither and got the nether star, so i'm like Yeah! I can make a beacon... which I did and I already had stacks and stacks of iron on my past mining trips, so then I proceed to my mines creating the iron pyramid for the beacon and after I place the beacon down and set the ability to Haste 2 I start mining, blah blah blah find diamonds that kind of stuff, after all that I go back to the surface and do normal stuff up there (killing cows or building a storage room)... after a few Minecraft days I decide to go back to the mines and mine for a bit, so when I 1st get down there I hear the classic SSSSsssss and my beacon of course is at the entrance of the mine and I wasn't able to get of my ladder in time and BOOM! I die and when I go to retrieve my stuff the beacon was gone with no remains...
Inconvenient, eh? Let's see... Just today I had one of those moments.. Well, it's inconvenient for me, but it would normally be horrific for others.. ((Had to put spoiler around it, afraid it's too much ranting. It's not too long, but it sorta is me letting out steam..Heh.. Steam..))
I had a terrible time at school (anxiety attack) and I came home to play Minecraft. It calms me down and it's a good way to deal with school the following day *imagining bullies at my school getting killed by my diamond sword*
So I get home and get on the only server I go on, which is focused on Minecraft Comes Alive. Yay, this will be great!
Oh wait! Somebody claimed my house thinking it's 'a generated village'. Now what the Enderdragon? How could some idiot think that? Did they not study up on the mod?! Ok so I stay calm, a friend helps me get out of my house (spawned there, was stuck) and I look around.. Great. Crops are gone. My chests are locked.. doors cannot be opened.. My dead husbands grave was removed.. I was ready to mine diamonds and go after whoever did that..
*sigh* Mondays..
